For dinner, Farnsworth House is a nice, slightly pricey restaurant. We went on Friday night right after Thanksgiving, and it was actually pretty empty (the other party left after we ordered). Service was friendly and helpful, and it was a nice environment. In regards to the food, entrees are about $20-35, but they do come with the soup de jour... More

We eat here often and bring guests. There is a full bar with great martinis, excellent and creative food in several price points. The waitstaff is knowledgable and professional.

Me and my wife decided to kill time here before a "ghost walk" in Bordentown, NJ. I really was pleased at how nice it was and the classic feel this place has. It has great food and the bar was awesome. It is very historic and has a cool vibe. Sort of quiet but had about 3 TV's with Football... More

The Farnsworth House has been around for a long time their food is American & Italian cuisines. Their food is very good tasting, & reasonably priced. Many companies & State agencies go there for luncheons. They have ample space to handle groups of people & can also serve them as well. My wife has been many times and has never... More

The decor is quite dated in this restaurant, but the food is quite good. They have a very nice beer on draft list, which is always a big draw for me. My husband had snails which you don't find everywhere, but they were quite good. They have enough choices to make it interesting and this is not the same old... More

We were underwhelmed. I hadn't been there for diner in about a year or so but go for lunch from time to time. We sat downstairs on a 7 pm Saturday reservation. Mistake ... bar while not crowded was noisy. Quickly seated and drinks arrived with a lousy bread basket. A little old. The dipping sauce was good and covered... More

This place reminds me of the TV show CHEERS because everyone knows your name...even if it is the first time you have been there. My food was great, service was great and the atmosphere was fun! Built in 1850 and serves French/Italian food......family owned and operated. I will go back for sure.

I don't usually give negative reviews but the pictures on their web look nothing like the inside. My wife's meal was good but mine was suppose to be mild but turned out to be very hot. Bartender was also one of the waiters, double duty. Not likely to go back.

We have not been to Farnesworth House in a while and decided to go last night. We really used to love this place but the quality of food and service has went downhill. Maybe they were having a bad night but I do not think we will be dining there again.

Although centrally located in Bordentown, we consider the Farnsworth House a hidden gem. Our group from grammar school (we are now senior citizens) meets for lunch at the Farnsworth House several times a year. The service is wonderful; the food, excellent; they accommodate us by preparing fried zucchini appetizers; and the management does not rush our three-hour lunches! The extensive... More
