A lovely meal

We each had something different: blackened steak tips w/red beans & rice; chicken creole over rice; seafood jambalaya over rice. We all enjoyed our meals. I thought jambalaya had a little too much liquid, but it tasted delicious. The blackened tips were excellent, wig a slightly spicy aioli. I... read more

Stopped in for Father's Day just before rush hour. A little hot but acceptable. Outstanding food and service. The gator is terrific. This must be the best Resturant in all of Belmar/ area. The staff is extremely friendly.

Everyone knows you feel like family when you walk into the door at Ragin' Cajun. I have been going here for years and I crave the food like a pregnant woman (side note- I am a dude). I just went again for the first time in almost a year and what a fulfillment. The waitstaff was so engaged and really made... More

I have heard great things about this place for some time now but have only just visited it. This restaurant is housed in a Victorian style house across from the water. As soon as you walk in you have this charming, intimate feeling. There are only 10 tables so come early. The decor is an eclectic mix of things you... More

This was our first visit since a year ago. The waitstaff is still young and very friendly. This is a casual place and the atmosphere screams kitchy. The rolls were piping hot and delicious. The blackened mahi mahi bites were perfectly prepared, but not very tasty. My husband had the jambalaya and he said it was also pretty bland. Bland... More

After having a disappointing experience I wrote about it .The manager contacted me in hopes of bringing my opinion back up about the restaurant. Based on the fact that she took the time to respond I am adding one more star for now. I will go back and see if it was just an off night when I visited last.... More

My boyfriend and I ate there last Saturday night and the food was just as delicious as it was when Tracie held the reins in the kitchen. I miss her terribly but her spirit lives on through Kristen (the new owner with her husband John) who worked by her side for the past 18 years. We had tuna bites as... More

I have lived in Belmar for 15 years and I used to love this place and eat here probably once a week. That said, recently I ordered my favorite dish Shrimp Diane and picked it up to eat at home and was very disappointed. The broccoli was basically raw, the pasta was very over cooked and the shrimp were not... More

Ragin Cajun is the best food in town. If you like Cajun and/or spicy food, this is the place for you. Traci, the owner just passed away and it is very sad. She was so passionate about her food and her customers. We will deeply miss her. The restaurant goes on and we will continue to eat there regularly. We... More
