Skip the brunch, order the lunch

I have written a review about Klein's and that review still stands. A great place for good food and friends after a day soaking up the sun and ocean. Friendly and efficient service, relaxing atmosphere. But I wouldn't recommend the brunch. We took full advantage of the lobster specials in October as well as the clams appetizer. Really this would be a 4.5 - I would have liked a little garlic in the "butter" but did appreciate that it was olive oil and not 100% butter. The lobster was steamed to perfection. This place knows how to do seafood, with bibs... More

The four of us came here for dinner on Sunday. The location is awesome and view of the inlet is great. Service was good, but the plates that came out for appetizers were dirty, with food stuck to them and grease on the edges. After the plates were changed, the appetizers came and tasted great. We ordered two king crab... More

Great neighborhood gem on the water. Any fresher and the fish would be swimming. Twin 1 1/2 lb lobsters dinner was over the top. Same for the chopped salad, steamers, chowder AND the service. Ellen was fantastic. Definitely will return.

Considering the wonderful water-side location, they really should make an effort to learn to cook! I'm told the clams are good. What isn't are the following. Fish&Chips: very greasy and tasteless fish, gloopy clam chowder and bland, interesting lobster sandwich that must be their own version of a lobster roll. The key is simplicity not creativity when it comes to... More

We`d heard some nice things about this place so we decided to try it. The evening was beautiful - perfect for outdoor dining. I have no complaints about the atmosphere. We were told we had a 30 minute wait, and we were called 30 minutes later and given out outdoor seating choice. So far so good. That`s where it ended.... More

This is a sprawling business right on the Shark River Inlet, several bars, a fish market, formal indoor dining room, a sushi bar, a covered/open outdoor deck seating. Boats of different sizes/styles pass by on a regular basis, the drawbridge open and closes, locals drive up on their boats and dine on the deck or pick up take out. NJ... More

We have been going here for years, with no complaints. This time, the quality of the seafood was awful to the point that they should have been embarrassed about what they put on a plate. Too pricey, terrible service, and poor food means that I will never go back here again. There are plenty of better options in the area.

I've eaten at Klein's once a summer for the past several years while on vacation. It's eclectic including: a formal indoor dining room, a sushi bar, an outdoor seating area along the Shark river, a covered semi-outdoor eating area, a tiki bar, and a retail seafood store. It literally has something for everyone. They accept reservations, although they take walk-ins... More

Went there with family that came in from Boston. While dinner portions seemed a little small, and was a bit pricey, we left the dinner table extremely satisfied. With having a large number of folks at the table, we expected some service issues as it's difficult for the kitchen to get everything out at the same time. Despite that, they... More
