Bedazzzled by the price!

I attended Mother's Day dinner at the Pluckemin Inn yesterday. We chose the prix-fixe menu at $65/person,( including children's pricing). The selections were fine, accompanied by locally grown vegetables and entrees. Portions (to me!) seemed small compared to the pricing of the prix-fixed meals. My... read more

We had reservations for a group of 12 for a business dinner in a private room. The ambiance of the entire restaurant is wonderful no matter what room your table is in. The drinks are very good and there's an excellent selection of wine to go with your dinner. Every appetizer and entree was well-seasoned, properly cooked, and a delight... More

While this place was very good in general; it was really expensive. Wine too...that was expensive. The Sommelier was excellent and made some excellent recommendations...and there was one bottle he actually used a Coravin so we could have just a couple of glasses instead of opening the bottle. You could tell that the food ingredients were very fresh and but... More

I went there with my Fiancée for dinner and we were impressed with the selection of wines and the exceptional quality of the food. You can't go wrong with the scallops or the Barbera d'Alba. We will definitely return. The price was on the higher end because we ordered from the dinner menu. Next time we come back we will... More

Having lived in this town for a decade I can easily rate The Plucky as the best restaurant in the area. It is our mainstay - whether it be a well-made cocktail, excellent glass of wine, apps at the cozy bar with fireplace or lingering multi-course dinner, the in-season menu is always thoughtful and delicious. We enjoyed the wine selection... More

Quality food, attentive service, Renee, the hostess at the desk always makes sure things happen. Good wine selection, but if not in mood, Billy makes a great martini. Their chicken entree is always great, as is their burger for a quickie.

This country inn offers good food in a comfortable setting. The steaks are far better than one canfind in a steakhouse.

I surprised my boyfriend here with a birthday dinner--it was a first time for both of us. We sat at the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail (aperitif)--what an awesome bar, all made from Copper in a very nice setting. It was fairly early so it wasn't too busy. The bartender was very friendly and made extraordinary cocktails. I work for... More

We went for a group dinner and had a very nice dining experience. It is a very cosy place for a winter meal, as it feels warmy good inside. Good professional staff (as usual in the US, a bit too much for an European...) providing good indications about the different options. A bit of overselling the more expensive choices, but... More

What a lovely facility. In an old inn with a separate dinining room and bar room. We went for our daughter's birthday along with our son-in -law and grand daughter. At their suggestion since they had been there before, we ate in the bar room. Instead of ordering main courses, we just kept ordering appetizers and sharing them. They were... More
