Always fresh seafood

After reading some of the other reviews, I decided to weigh in here as I've eaten here many times over the years. I always like restaurants that are also fish markets as the fish is usually fresh and you often have access to fish/seafood beyond that of an ordinary restaurant. This is no exception... read more

I am so stranger to the roadside fishery type establishment. Went back last night after trying a few years ago. My big, food knowledgeable family and I spend weeks on the island every year and my advice is you can find much better elsewhere without getting ripped off. The prices were ludicrous for what we were served. Meager portions, do... More

I ordered a crab cake sandwich, which on the menu is advertised as 'Lump' crab meat. I was expecting something resembling real, fresh, actual crab meat. What I got was a breaded and fried medallion that had clearly come from a freezer. It was stringy and wet inside, almost like it was full of mayonnaise. Disgusting. And that it cost... More

Have not eaten here, but this is where we buy the fish that we cook at the house we rent. Excellent selection and quality.

As long as you 're prepared to spend some money, you'll do fine here. The line to order can be ridiculous, so do yourself a favor and call ahead - we did and our food was ready for pick-up when we got there, only 10-15 minutes later (and this was during their busy time). I had the Blushing shrimp which... More

Ordered the founder and scallop twins, supposedly a specialty. Very small portion swimming in some sauce. French fries were cold and dry. Cole slaw also a small portion and mediocre. Have gone for years but will now try other places.

Our 13-year old daughters have a gluten allergy. We called in advance to see what options might be available. The person answering the phone also had celiac and walked us through what would be possible. Feeling optimistic we arrived at the Fishery only to try and place our order with the rudest man (who also turned out to be the... More

It was good but very overpriced. I just wish the restaurants in Beach Haven learn their lesson to cut down the expenses. It was very greasy. French Fries was small. Fish was ok.. I will not go back even though my family has been going there for 30 years...

Came here on a Friday and the long lines were a bit annoying, but to be expected in summer. Ordered 5 different things and only one was edible, in my opinion - and the bill was more than $140. Basically, everything here is fried and I seriously doubt that it's "local" seafood because all of the fried items look exactly... More
