Good food, bring cash

Made reservations for four early Saturday afternoon for 6:30, sat right down. Everybody commented on the freshness of the fish, meals were perfect proportions, small menu but had plenty of combinations to choose from. Waitress was very attentive even though every seat in the place was taken. Fair... read more

We always enjoy the excellent food and service. It is the highlight of our week in Barnegat Light. The restaurant is open Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday nights during the summer. The food is good and you can bring your own bottle of wine.

Charming little restaurant down the shore with a small dining room and family atmosphere. The menu has appetizers, entrees, and kids' options. It's BYOB and cash or check only, no credit cards accepted. The decor is wood-panel walls and ceiling fans, with beachy portraits and fish posters. The food was simply presented (fish and potato). It was tasty and the... More

We had been to this restaurant a number of times but this year we never made it past the door. 8pm came and went as did 815. They almost had a table for us at 8:30. Couldn't wait any longer so split to Plantation where the not only can take the reservation but they can hold it.

great meals are a given at this cute little restaurant in Barnegat Light, NJ. freshest seafood on LBI since the fishing boats are less than 1/2 mile away. Can't beat the scallops as well as the tuna. service is very good but it can get a little hectic and crazy on Friday and Saturday nights. But, still worth the wait... More

Unwelcoming. First we arrived 5 minutes early for a 5pm reservation . We were told they weren't ready and had to wait outside in the heat. 10 after 5 we were allowed in while tables were being windexed When we told them we wanted to order appetizers and salads they took the crudités off the table. We spent 50 dollars... More

Has been around the north end of LBI forever, but just tried it for the first time....big mistake not getting there sooner! It's great! Very fresh fish and steak menu with great specials. Cooked perfectly and served quickly. Fair entre pricing, but some steals with $2 shrimp cocktail when ordering main course. Not much atmosphere, but that's offset with friendly,... More

Very casual, family-run restaurant that server perfectly-cooked, fresh, wonderful food. We have been going there for almost 20 years and it is our favorite restaurant on the island. The fish is always fresh and delicious, but so is the meat. If you go, you will notice that there will always be people dining who have been regulars for years, if... More

I heard such great things about this restaurant, but was warned not to expect much from the atmosphere. This is absolutely true regarding the interior of the building. Don't worry about your attire. Definitely casual. Recommend shorts and flip flops. I was disappointed with my meal, which was steak with crab meat. My friends, who all ordered seafood, did love... More

I have been coming to eat here every summer for decades. The regulars know that she chef gets pick of the catch from his fishermen friends from childhood, which he prepares simply and wonderfully. The unchanging decor, casual atmosphere, same owner- chefs and excellent food means that you really CAN go home again every summer.
