We stopped on a whim for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The lunch menu had a good variety of choices. We both got sandwiches with fries and couldn't finish it all. Large potions with a reasonable price, lovely atmosphere/decor. We will visit again if we are in the area.

Has the upscale food and beer selection you expect, along with the rustic feel that you go to NH for. My wife and I spent a cozy weekend in the Wolfeboro Inn, and this bar was so good, we ended up eating three of our meals here (partially because I wanted to try half the menu). Food wasn't haute cuisine... More

I've stayed at the inn twice, and it is a bit pricey compared to other inns around, but it's worth it. The bar/dining area is fantastic. The set up is intimate, and the food is progressive. Really innovative and beautifully plated. I've tried a variety of apps and entrees and they've all been cooked exceptionally well. The drinks could use... More

Thank you so much for the comments. I'll be sure to pass along your feedback to the staff. Our chef's continually impress with all of their dishes, and everything on the plate is created in house, nothing is out of a box. The bar is our next focus, we're starting to get into some infused cocktails and we've got some... More

We loved the menus. There are four: Breakfast, Lunch, Supper, and Room Service with ability to order items that are not in this menu. We were stunned at the creativity of the menu and daily specials - the longest part was deciding what to order - everything looked fabulous, well presented, creative. Daily Specials offerings are plentiful. Wait Staff became... More

A very amiable group seems to gather at the bar nightly and you are more than welcome to join the conversation. The food is just wonderful and the bartender, Andy, makes everything just a bit more special. Wish we lived closer, we would dine here nightly.

Thank you for the kind words. Our group of regulars do enjoy to tell people about the area and swap stories. We like to think that we are a home away from home for some. I will pass on your comments about our staff here as well. It is always nice to hear comments like this. Thank you again. More

We generally dislike buffets but the Inn did a very nice job with a huge crowd. the food was consistently genuine and very well-prepared.

Thank you for taking the time to tell everyone about our wonderful buffets. We do them just three times per year, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day & Easter. We typically get a great turn out and the chefs come up with some fantastic offerings. I hope that you will get a chance to try out some of our other holiday buffets as... More

When we arrived at the Wolfeboro Inn, we saw a sign that today's special as chicken pot pie. When we asked the waitress at dinner about it, she said it had been a lunch special but she would check. Thereafter, Elijah, the sous chef, came out saying that the chicken pot pie was a lunch special, but he would make... More

Thank you so much for the kind review. I'm glad we could accommodate your request with the Pot Pie. Our chef's are more than willing to go out to the tables and discuss food with our customers. I will share your thoughts with about the cereals with our Chef, I'm sure we could expand our selection or at least rotate... More

Came here for lunch today and we were very pleased with the selection. It was not crowded (no surprise for a Monday in late October) so were seated quickly - right next to the fireplace. I had clam chowder for an appetizer which was very good and actually had a lot of clam (I know but some places chinze on... More

Thank you for stopping by the Tavern. I agree with you on the fireplaces, nothing beats a nice "real" roaring fire, however given the nature of our business it is hard for us to not embrace some of the modern conveniences and safety features that gas offers. We do have two "real" fireplaces left, one in the Tavern, and one... More

Stopped in a few nights ago and had dinner. It is starting to slow down in the area as summer has ended and the fall season is in swing. We got in and had a great server. Food was good and we liked everything we had ordered. I had the steak tips which were nice and tender and my wife... More

Food was good, enjoyed the music that could be heard from the lounge below. Loud guests enjoying each other's company at table next to us, just hard for us to talk/hear over them. I like a quieter environment for dining. Prices were on the high side. Decor was really attractive.

Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. My apologies for the noise from the adjacent table. The Tavern does tend to have a lively atmosphere at times. I'm glad you enjoyed the food and service here at the Tavern and I hope you don't let the price deter you from returning, we have food for a majority... More
