Two teens enjoyed it!

We were staying close to town so the two teens walked over to the diner one day for lunch. (They are 'experts' at chicken tenders and fries - as they order them EVERYWHERE!) These were among the best they'd had. The breading on the strips/tenders was almost like hushpuppies. (They had... read more

I remember the days of walking into a resturant and being greeted with a smile. Not the case here. The woman in the front who I assume to be the waitress, walked out front only to utter "we're closed" with an expressionless face and walk into the bathroom. I thought they closed at 2.... It was only 1:45. I am... More

A long standing favorite for townies next to the low bridge over the Back Bay channel in the middle of town, this diner never fails to impress. While the menu has mopre elaorate fare (eggs benny, etc) my usual bacon eggs and english were prompt and cheerfully prepared and served.

I have never eaten at this dinner before, ( lines to long during season) I have found that if you want quick service don't go in summer. These people were friendly, smiling. They checked often to see if I needed anything. The food was tasty but the price was a little high for off season. All in all I enjoyed... More

Every summer seasons\, there are lines outside the door. Why? I don't know - Guess it is the location -- right in the middle of Main St. The food is okay and there is a decent selection, but the menu is way overpriced. Ambiance is old-fashioned diner style but I find it somewhat cramped.

We went for lunch after the cruise ship crowds. Food was fine but service was shocking. The hostess/waitress kept moaning about the cruise ship crowds and was very rude in quiet asides to peoples' comments. She was snippy and obviously didn't want to be there...just as we didn't want to know about her menopausal flashes. We would not return.

The Wolfeborough Diner used to have the reputation of being a great spot for breakfast -- and the last time we visited, many years ago, it was. This visit was disappointing. Had to wait in the street for a table (which is not their problem, it's a small place), so we were hoping to be pleasantly surprised when we brought... More

Ate here during "leaf peeping" season and got right in and seated at the counter. There were four of us and we all got sandwiches and fries. Our server was very helpful and our lunch came out quickly. All of us were pleased with our menu choices and prices were good for a tourist town. Not a classy place, but... More

Came here for quick lunch. We walked in around 130 and sat at the counter. We were ignored for the first 10 minutes without even given a menu. 2 out of the 3 servers that were helping us, would definitely want to be somewhere else? Probably because it was close to closing time? Anyway, my omelette was ok, The fillings... More

We had come here once or twice in the past, and it was serviceable. Our most recent trip was horrendous. A wait 20 minutes beyond what they told us, then beyond bad service (three tables around us that came in after us were served and paid before we got served our first plate), and some of the food was -...
