Good Average Economy Type Inn

My mom and I stayed here for an overnight visit in Wolfeboro to enjoy some shopping and a mother/daughter weekend away. The rooms were clean and average with the basics and the inn itself was small and quaint. Good place to stay for a night or two if you just need a place to lay your head at... read more

Avoid this place...to sit in the bar area, when there are several tables available is the most insulting thing a person l could think of. Either they do not know how to run a restaurant or they are just plain rude. The problem that most restaurant owners have is that they have money and lacking the knowledge.

We have been wondering about this restaurant and with our friends decided to give the Bistro a try. We did sit in the dinning room. Oh my, where have been to not gone here. It was fabulous. I started with an appetizers of Oyster Rockefeller and our friends had fried oysters. The fried oysters looked like a mean in itself.... More

My wife and I ate here for dinner. Very nice decor, bar eating area with two televisions. Dinning area was open and inviting. We sat in the dining area, we had calamari as an appetizer which was excellent, my wife had the lobster mac and cheese, full salad and I had the fish and chips, (three cocktails), check was a... O Bristo run by the famous Canoe resturant was good. The Bristo area was very loud, I would next time ask to be seating in the dinning room area. Food was good. Terderloin tips where little fatty but everything else was good. Menu is little smaller than Canoe but they still have some great choices!

This was our first visit to the restaurant. We had the Swordfish special on a bed of risotto - very good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was a bit drab, needs to be brought up to date a bit more.

We made early reservations on a Saturday (5:30PM) and were seated promptly. Erin, our waitress did a nice job and provided us with excellent service. The wine selection was adequate and reasonably priced. My Bloody Mary was excellent. The meals were perfectly cooked - the swordfish was one of the best ever and the mixed vegetable risotto was spectacular. All... More

I think this place is relatively new, so we thought we would give it a try since it's only a half mile from our house. We went on a Monday, so did not have a reservation. And we did not need one, but the place was surprisingly busy. The bar area looked warm and inviting, but we opted to sit... More

The chef made some dietary changes for a few items due to allergies and they were AMAZING! The fried oysters and swordfish special were top notch. I couldn't imagine them having been any better. Most everyone else LOVED their food and drinks too (they have an O wine which was a big hit). Only one person who got the meatloaf... More
