So want this to be better! Tried it several times and it is okay but pricy for what the choices of food are. The restaurant itself is nice and the drinks are good but the food is a little underwhelming. We'll keep trying and hope it gets better!

Never had the food here, so I can't say. But, while the wine list isn't extensive (but solid), the company is fantastic. Someone at the bar just bought everyone a drink. And that doesn't seem unusual at a place like this because they're local and they are all talking local--kids, schools, jobs, etc... Not a pickup joint. Just fun, local,... More

The Windham restaurant is no too far from Interstate 93 and served out of what appears to be a old home. Parking is ample and the restaurant is easy to find. We arrived early and were promptly seated upon entry. The server was pleasant, helpful, and available. We started with drinks: a Merlot for my father, a coconut pineapple for... More

We're always looking for local restaurants and have driven by The Windham Restaurant many times so thought that we might try. Prices are reasonable. A micro green salad with tomato and mozzarella was $5.50 and escargot in the shell $9.50. Haddock Al Forno ($19) style was recommended so I tried it and found it to be disappointing while my husband... More

We have been frequenting the Windham Restaurant for several years. We know the food quality which is generally very good and we understand the atmosphere, the local camaraderie which is wonderful. Dining in the bar is a fun experience and the interaction between staff and patrons makes this such. Dining in the dining rooms upstairs and on the entry level,... More

What could be charming character is cobbled together in a space that feels a little confusing and crowded. My wife and I were ignored for a while, then treated like an inconvenience as we were shuttled "upstairs". We ordered drinks and appetizers. Jalepeno poppers arrived looking limp and were of lesser quality than what I can pull out of the... More

They converted a house into a restaurant. First floor has a small bar area to the left that looked to us to be serving a regular crowd of adults probably in their 40's to 50's. To the right was a dining area. We were taken up a large flight of stairs to another room full of tables and no one... More

This was the first time that my wife and I visited this place, and we were very surprised. Good size parking lot, with plenty of parking. There was a lot of people for a Friday night, but it wasn't pack. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and we got a table inmediately. The servers were also cool and... More

Restaurant was right off the highway. The building is over two hundred years old. The outside was tastefully update and kept the colonial character. The inside was nicely decorated and updated. The narrow size rooms did not take away from the atmosphere. We enjoy the visit. The staff was very attentive and answered our needs immediately. The food menu cover... More

My favorite local restaurant. The steak tips are to die for, and I've had good salmon and other dishes as well. My husband loves the chicken parm. The prices can be a little high, but they also offer small plates, which can be great for a quick casual night out for a drink. The wait staff is always polite and... More
