An Italian Night in New Hampshire

Our host was delightful. The lasagne was wonderful as was the haddock. The salads were good and the wine that was suggested was a great accompaniment to our meal. The lasagne was more than one person could eat and we took it back to the Follansbee Inn and had it for dinner on the lake the next... read more

I am sorry for your disappointment. Sorrier still that you did not have the opportunity to evaluate the food, service and value before rating it so poorly. I happened to be there the evening in question and would like to clear up your misunderstanding. Piero has run the restaurant for over 30 years and has a dedicated and loyal following... More

We arrived at the restaurant very hungry and looking forward to trying it out. There were only 2 other cars in the parking lot. We walked in and there were only 2 tables occupied. The rest of the large dining area empty. We waited for approximately 10 minutes before a very unfriendly and quite frankly rude and angry man came... More

This is a place to go if you want good, fresh Italian home cooking. No celebrity dishes; just the real thing. The specials and the pasta are particularly good. We went on a slow night and sat next to a couple who come weekly. We have been coming on annual visits to a local inn. The host is a warm... More

We greatly enjoyed dining at La Meridiana. Our host and chef, Piero, was warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and polite, and his demeanor and the family decor made us feel very at home. The food was fresh, delicious, and authentically Italian. We highly recommend the restaurant!

2nd visit there was on Valentine's Day. Meat horribly over-cooked as were the vegetables. The dessert truffles were truly inedible. My wife's comment on our splurge of eating out was "It is the worst food I have ever had to pay for."

When we arrived at La Meridiana, we were met by a warm and friendly host as well as atmosphere. Appetizers were stellar, and entrées were even better. Wine selection was good. We were too full for dessert (portions were generous) but we are planning on trying the cannoli next time! Highly recommend this unique gem hidden in Wilmot.

The chef and owner will take your order, mix your cocktails, prepare and serve your dinner, bring your coffee, and clear your table. Therefore, your meal will be leisurely. The dishes are cooked to order and are delicious. The ambience is lovely and the chairs are comfortable! I especially love the perfectly cooked and abundant vegetables that come with every... More

It was my husband's birthday, and I wanted him to be pampered. Piero really does that for guests, explaining the menu, cooking their meal to order, and serving it with personal touches. My husband had a trout fillet with lots of seasonal vegetables, I had a wild mushroom ravioli, and we split a pistachio ice cream sundae (PLUS a petite... More

I enjoy this restaurant on many levels--first, the delightful food and wonderful menu--classics like veal scallopini, pasta carbonara, a perfect filet mignon, a piquant caesar salad, and specials of the season. Our veal dish came with an array of additional tastes on the plate: a warm beet green salad, pan-browned potatoes, a steamed broccoli floret, and spicy oregano-topped carrots. Add... More
