Walpole Village Tavern has become the "go to" place for my spouse and I when we are looking for a good meal, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere at a decent price. It has even become our special event place, after trying more expensive options in the area. The bar area here is small but frequently crowded by regulars. Beer... More

My husband and I ate here for lunch twice. The first day we were just driving around New Hampshire looking at the beautiful foliage and found Walpole and this fantastic place. The staff on both occasions were just so friendly. First day we had the Uncle Rueben and Aunt Rachel sandwiches. Both came with their homemade potato chips. Yum. The... More

Finally had the opportunity to eat here with friends and we were very pleased. It was a rainy Wednesday evening but it was still relatively full. The staff was quite attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. As you would expect, there was a wide variety of craft beers as well as a full bar. The menu was generally pub fare which was... More

We go here often for lunch, and dinner, and even an after work drink and wings. It's a nice place to get together in a relaxing atmosphere.

It has a nice atmosphere, adequate seating and outdoor seating. The bar selection and food selection is good, but pricey. The waitstaff as professional and does and adequate job.

You will find good food at the Tavern and the atmosphere is really good. The service is decent (have been in several times and only once did I have below par service). The only minor gripe I have is that you sometimes have to wait a really long time (30-40 mins) for your food to arrive. I went in with... More

We've eaten dinner at the Tavern several times and always had a great meal. The food is a little better quality than pub food and they have a great selection of beers. I had a pumpkin ale that was served with cinnamon sugar around the rim of the glass ala margarita style. It was excellent. The place is small, but... More

we had been up to Putney, Vermont to see Santa with my granddaughter and wanted to try some place besides a chain for a late lunch/early dinner. The place had such a comfy feeling to it. All the people working there and all of the people eating there were friendly and spoke to us when we came in. My granddaughter... More

Several members of our large family reunion group came here for lunch, in overlapping shifts, and the people were very helpful and accommodating to our various needs (ages 2 to 70+). Nothing too fancy, as you'd expect from a pub, but the menu was varied and everyone was happy with their orders and the price was right. Nice selection of... More

I had the crabcake appetizers which were excellent and a Caesar salad, which was very good, a large portion of fresh indgredients. The restaurant is not that large and can get noisy. Our waitress was friendly and professional. This is a nice restaurant, we will be back to try other items on the menu. The total for both of us... More
