You will find good food at the Tavern and the atmosphere is really good. The service is decent (have been in several times and only once did I have below par service). The only minor gripe I have is that you sometimes have to wait a really long time (30-40 mins) for your food to arrive. I went in with... More

We've eaten dinner at the Tavern several times and always had a great meal. The food is a little better quality than pub food and they have a great selection of beers. I had a pumpkin ale that was served with cinnamon sugar around the rim of the glass ala margarita style. It was excellent. The place is small, but... More

we had been up to Putney, Vermont to see Santa with my granddaughter and wanted to try some place besides a chain for a late lunch/early dinner. The place had such a comfy feeling to it. All the people working there and all of the people eating there were friendly and spoke to us when we came in. My granddaughter... More

Several members of our large family reunion group came here for lunch, in overlapping shifts, and the people were very helpful and accommodating to our various needs (ages 2 to 70+). Nothing too fancy, as you'd expect from a pub, but the menu was varied and everyone was happy with their orders and the price was right. Nice selection of... More

I had the crabcake appetizers which were excellent and a Caesar salad, which was very good, a large portion of fresh indgredients. The restaurant is not that large and can get noisy. Our waitress was friendly and professional. This is a nice restaurant, we will be back to try other items on the menu. The total for both of us... More

Over all it was a decent dining experience. Food was generally good, crab cakes were in the average range. The chicken carbonara was very good. Service was good and the waitress did an excellent job. We enjoyed the evening and would return again.

We had lunch at the Tavern for the first time today. It wasn't busy at all, but the service was incredibly slow. The waitress's attitude was borderline rude, and it was 30 minutes before our sandwiches arrived. We were on the verge of walking out when they came. The food was actually great, but the waitress never checked back once... More

This was an average tavern menu, no complaints, good service, adequate food. A/C, VERY cold, but it's difficult when there are not a number of people in a place to warm it up. It was early in the evening on a 90 degree day. We would recommend this tavern to friends.

The food here was very good. This really was our only choice for dinner in Walpole, as Burdicks is a little too pricy. The chicken I had was cooked perfectly and my wife enjoyed her dinner as well

Went there while visiting family in Walpole. The wine was decent... The cheesesteak sandwich was large and very good. Great wait staff who was friendly and knowledgeable. Bathroom was cold...brrrrrr!
