Went for a bite here on a Sunday around noon on our way home from a well known area resort. The place was packed, but were were seated in about 3-4 minutes. First, the service was awesome. I asked for the steak on my steak and eggs to be creamated.... (quote" we can do that!.... no quizical look or "how... More

GREAT breakfast. Not much to say about it except the food was delicious and the service was extremely friendly. Also enjoyed the 60's music very much! We were on vacation, but if we lived near Tilton, we would definitely be regular customers!

I've been to the Tilton Diner many times and each time it looks a little more worn out than the last time. This last trip was no exception. The food is good diner food. Good burgers, chicken sandwiches, fried seafood... The sandwiches/burgers come with chips and fries are extra. They have a few appetizers, but we stick to the yummy... More

Heading north on 93 through Tilton NH? Exit 20 takes you to the Tilt'n Diner at the top of the off ramp. This diner is run by the folks who own the Common Man restaurants in New Hampshire. 50s to 60s atmosphere with friendly waitstaff and good food at moderate prices.

Tilt'n Diner is a must on our trips up to the Lakes Region. We usually order and share fried pickles to start - awesome appetizer. Tom's Last Hurrah is the best sandwich in the Granite State. Fresh turkey, stuffing, cranberry mayo on a light and tasty multigrain bread... Scrumptious. The sandwich is huge and I always bring half home. We... More

We stopped here on our way south because I had researched it and it was part of a group of restaurants under common ownership. It was packed and we had to wait 20 min for a table. We ordered the standard burger platters and they were ok, nothing special. The service seemed a bit slow and I felt we were... More

We make 3 or four trips to New England a year for the past 10 years and always stop at the Tilt'n Diner for lunch and it is always good. This time we stopped for breakfast and were not disappointed. My ham and cheese omelet was cooked perfectly and the ham to cheese ratio was spot on. They also use... More

Stopped on a Friday evening around 8. Place was very busy, but we got a booth right away. I ordered a mushroom/swiss burger w/onion rings and my wife ordered an appetizer sampler platter as her entrée and a root beer float. The burger came with no condiments on the bun. I asked for some mayo and waited, and waited and... More

We found this place 10 years ago on our honeymoon when we were passing through Tilton, and stumbled on this marvellous little diner. For us, this typified what we think of an American diner - pastel shades, polished chrome, neon lights, sassy waitresses, and good comfort food. 10 years later and nothing has changed. Great range of burgers, sandwiches, blue... More

We had great food and enjoyed the traditional 1950s American Diner. It's like you're in Grease the movie!
