This is the place for special dinners! The atmosphere is comfy and quiet. The service is spot on without being intrusive. The food is perfect! Expensive.

Stayed there, ate there, do not miss this! When they say you're going to spend a couple hours at dinner, they aren't exaggerating. The dining experience was an unexpected pleasure this far North.

Seated in front of the dining room's crackling wood fire, my wife and I were made to feel like the only guests on that cold mountain evening. The cuisine, atmosphere, and service all combined to create a wonderful birthday celebration. The four courses offered a variety of fresh and, to the extend possible, local ingredients. Chef Val's extensive talents were... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Sugar Hill Inn. Val is a creative and skilled chef and the meal was delightful. The menu offered lovely selections and we were treated to additional tasting courses in between.

The restaurant at the Sugar Hill Inn is popular, and with only a few tables, I would recommend reservations. We made reservations at 8 on a Friday; we were slightly early and had to wait. They do a fixed price 4 course dinner. It's a little pricey, but that should not deter you; the quality of ingredients, course selection, and... More

Thank you for your review. Just to let everyone know, Breakfast and the Tavern Menu are just for inn guests. The general public is welcome to make reservations for our Four Course Dinner. More

The food and presentation is excellent here. Among the best, if not THE best, in all of Northern New Hampshire. If this out of the way Inn was in a more populated area, with an appropriate sized support staff, this chef would a celebrity chef. That said, the restaurant is in a limited number of rooms (and charming) B&B Inn;... More

Thank you so much for dining with us and sharing your wife’s special birthday. Many have suggested over the years that we add to our kitchen staff so that we could accommodate more diners. We certainly could add more staff and give Executive Chef Val Fortin a corner office but that would change everything. Val has a passion for cooking... More

The Sugar Hill Inn is exactly what you'd expect in a classic New England inn. A cozy, charming 1700's farmhouse with a 1920's addition, with hardwood floors that have a "creek" to them as you walk. We were greeted by "Katie" (a nice old dog) when we arrived, and Karen checked us in to our room. The room was spacious... More

My husband and I chose to dine at this Inn to celebrate our anniversary. The meal was very good, although I have to say I was a bit put off by the $11-14 glass of wine prices. Last.year we chose what I thought would be a comparable experience at the Inn at Pleasant Lake in New London, NH. Although comparably... More

Thank you so much for dining with us and taking the time to write a review. Sure, we could serve a glass of wine for $6. Many restaurants buy cheep stuff by the gallon, add huge markups and make a lot of money in the process but that is not who we are. At the Sugar Hill Inn we are... More

If you wanted to film a movie on a perfect b and b with a dinner setting, you could not do wrong with SHI. This place scores off the charts for ambience. As it is, the restaurant is quite good, though the starters and desserts outpaced the entree. The service team is very accomodating. A drink at the bar is... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We read all reviews and comment cards very carefully. Based upon the input of this guest along with others, we made an important decision for the restaurant. We had been alternating, on the menu, between the beef tenderloin and the sirloin steak, thinking that this would provide more... More
