Fried clams

Clams were tender and not too heavily breaded. They had good flavor and did not taste greasey. The stand itself it old and needs a good cleaning, but the food is good!

Concluded our vacation on a high note by going to Ceal's. The fried clams & onion rings were both perfectly seasoned, and we didn't think $30 for what we got was unreasonable for the portions we received.

We have eaten fried clams and onion rings at Ceals since the early 1970s. They have been consistently the most tender and sweet fired clams. We have tried many places in the area - Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The tender issue and sweet taste, make them the best. Often clams are chewy and tough to eat, but not at... More

Cute spot right off the road. Stopped at Ceal's Ice Cream which is right next to Ceal's Clams the other night. Many, many ice cream options to choose from. They sell Giffords which is very yummy ice cream. Variety of flavors--everything from traditional vanilla/chocolate to blueberry pancake and other options for more adventurous ice cream eaters. Additionally, they offer a... More

The food is to die for. What i would be to be a fly on the wall for the receipe of their batter. Don't let the oldness of the place fool you. The place has been there since 1948 i believe and the food is epic! Enjoy, u wont be disappointed. Just opened on Friday May 8th 2015.

Rating the fried food here would not be an example of an "experience" re: eating out. This is a small shack with limited parking and a long wait for your order. The prices are far beyond your expectations. Your conversation after leaving this place will cnter on "why did we eat there"????? I can't say its "not for everyone" but... More

I visited Ceals with my friend who had come from the UK. When I went to pay, the price didn't come close to the prices on the painted menu over where you order (15% more). I asked the person serving me why I was being charged so much. She referred to the "owner" who was a woman who nastily said... More

Came her after a nice day at the beach with family. Walked away very disappointed. The food quality and quantity is not worth the outrageous prices they charge. Save your hard earned money and pass this place up! Service is as bad as the food!
