Here's what you gotta overcome to have great lobster and steamers at Markey's: it ain't Maine, there are no lobster pots in sight, you are VERY close to the Seabrook nuclear plant. If you're not up to the challenge, keep on driving north to say, Thurston's Lobster Pound in Bernard, Maine. My wife and I screwed our cholesterol meters to... More

After visiting Brown's Seabrook Lobster Pound back in May 2014, I really wanted to complete the Seabrook seafood restaurant battle by going to Markey's Lobster Pool just to see which one of the 2 places is better. Well I can finally tell you this: Yesterday my mother and I went to Markey's for lunch and it was great experience indeed.... More

I've been going to Markey's for 30 plus years but haven't been there in the last 4 years. It was a father, daughter day so we decided to give it a try and was shocked at how far the food quality has fallen. We both ordered the clam chowder which was nothing but clam broth with 2 big chunks of... More

This is by far the best quality seafood restaurant in this area. The lobsters are fresh, the steamed clams are huge and the baked fish sandwiches are delicious. The service is quick, there are plenty of tables inside and you will truly be pleased with this restaurant!! ENJOY!!

Walking I we could not believe how busy this place is. The food is excellent and the location is perfect.

Really bad Haddock Sandwich. The fish was definitely frozen - not sure who the supplier is but I can make a better sandwich at home with frozen fish from the supermarket. It was also served on a soggy hamburger bun. Can't understand how the place is always packed but then again can't really screw up the lobster or steamers. Stick... More

First daughter short changes my husband and hubby jokingly says "nice try" and she snaps back with "why would I do that I own the place" no sorry or anything. Then while we are seated and eating the mom comes over and says "my daugther was insulted" What???? We spent all this money and we are suddenly the bad guys??... More

We decided to switch it up and venture across the street from Brown's to Markey's this year. What a mistake!! It smelled great when you walked int he door so we had high hopes. The food was terrible. The clam chowder contained 4 huge untouched clams and 2 half potatoes. It was basically impossible to eat the stuff. I don't... More
