First daughter short changes my husband and hubby jokingly says "nice try" and she snaps back with "why would I do that I own the place" no sorry or anything. Then while we are seated and eating the mom comes over and says "my daugther was insulted" What???? We spent all this money and we are suddenly the bad guys??... More

We decided to switch it up and venture across the street from Brown's to Markey's this year. What a mistake!! It smelled great when you walked int he door so we had high hopes. The food was terrible. The clam chowder contained 4 huge untouched clams and 2 half potatoes. It was basically impossible to eat the stuff. I don't... More

for eating seafood near the ocean at a very casual restaurant ,this is the place, you pre order the food , they call your number and you get up to get the food , also very clean, the only complaint is it is very expensive for a casual restaurant, but being near the ocean they get a lot of tourists

The family was in the mood for some fried food for dinner so we visited Markeys. It was disappointing from the get go. The dinners were all expensive and they had no kids plates! $100.17 later we got our food which consisted of chicken tender plates, a clam plate and a fish and scallop plate. While the seafood was good... More

Whenever we're visiting the seacoast we always take a family trip to Markey's! We had the seafood platter, not greasy at all! The steamers were a little large, we prefer smaller. The oysters were great! I had the lobster 'salad', which consisted of a little lettuce, tomato slices and about a pound and a half of delicious lobster meat! My... More

We always try new restaurants when we go to Hampton Beach...but we always head back to Markey's for the best lobster, steamers, lobster roll and fried seafood. They have added more items to the menu this year and have made nice updates to the interior. Not sure the change of having folks get their own tarter sauce and ketchup is... More

We were there yesterday, not good at all. First of all the mussells were not even cooked and when we asked to cook them a bit longer the young guy said that is the way they are supposed to be! OK! The fried food was the worst. We believe now that the oil was just not hot enough...clams , scallops soggy,... More

First visit to a Lobster Pound and we were not, at all, impressed with this place. We chose it because it served wine and the place across the street was BYOB. The place across the street had the crowd and Markey's did not. I suspect we found out the reasons. While not discourteous, the staff was more interested in entertaining... More

We came for dinner, and got a lobster special of two small lobsters for $19.99. The staff was efficient and pleasant. Our lobsters were cracked, making it easy to reach the meat. Staff came around to assist with clean up. We look forward to returning.

The lobster roll was amazing!!! You have to get it! Great place to eat! We ate here in the of season so it was not busy. Seems like they get very busy here in the summer because there are about 40-50 tables!!!
