Always a favorite for fried fish and chips

Markey's is the perfect place to eat after a long day on the water if you like fried fish and chips or fresh lobster. The food is fresh, consistently prepared, hearty and delicious. The atmosphere is somewhat frenetic - if you're lucky to score a table right away, you wait eagerly to hear your... read more

Husband, granddaughter and I stopped for a late lunch after trip to Salisbury Beach State park. Husband had fish sandwich. Fish was a good size, but fell apart trying to eat it. I ordered large clam chowder. It was barely warm, returned it,2nd was a little better, but after only 3 spoonfuls, gave to my husband to try. Few hours later both husband... More

Food was just so-so. But what really bothered me was watching a young male (teenager probably) in the kitchen area (just adjacent to the serving staff/cash register). He took his cap off and ran his hands through his hair several times (he was not wearing gloves either). I was disgusted when he starting picking up lettuce and fish and putting... More

We hadn't been to Markeys in several years. We had lobster rolls and beers. The lobster rolls were very substantial and also quite tasty. The lobster was very fresh. The price (15.50) is very competitive. The view was also quite nice. We were not disappointed although we had to pool our cash as they do not take credit cards; although... More

Excellent lobster bisque and excellent lobsters - I had again the bisque and it was simply heavenly delicious! see photo - cream was not heavy and it had several pieces of lobster (almost 1/2 or more lobster meat) We had also a boiled lobster and crab cakes. Simply perfect! We have tried several other places in the area, and also... More

It's not fancy, but the seafood is consistently above average. We usually get the lobster which is always fresh. The lobster bisque and corn on the cob, round out the meal. The view from the deck is great. It's a messy meal, but worth it.

Lobsters And food by the pound. Fresh yummy seafood. Consistently fresh seafood each and every time. Peak times can lead to considerable wait times. Very convenient access to ice cream next door.

Our friend was visiting us from Oregon for the week and didn't want to spend a weeks pay taking us out to eat at an excellent seafood eatery. Markey's is an eat in the rough place. By far the cleanest place of its kind anywhere on the East Coast. Very comfortable and a very friendly atmosphere. The freshest sea food,... More
