This is a very popular, super casual atmosphere. Order your food, find a picnic table indoors or out, and wait for your number to be called. We bring a tablecloth, candles, and a cooler with wine and beer - keeps the seafood dinner affordable. The lobster is always awesome, steamers are great, fried food too. TIP: If you are ordering... My favorite place to get lobster!!! The place to go in a sundress and flip flops after a day at the beach. I have been stopping here for years and have never been disappointed! I love sitting outside on the deck!

Stopped at Brown's Restaurant for the First Time. It's Menu Prices and Hospitality All Above Average . Are Food Was Ready in Record Time. And Tasted Fresh with every bit. If you are in The Area Go To Brown's Seafood you won't be Dissapointed.

Oh my gosh - I've entered the Browns/Markeys Twilight Zone! Didn't even know what this was until early this year - a lobster fest competition that has been going on for decades. Went to Markeys in July 2014. Got an inkling of the debate. In December 2014, obviously had to go to Browns to compare (though you will SOON SEE... More

If you're looking for great seafood then this is the place. If you're looking for a quiet dining experience, then this is not the place. I have been coming to Browns for 20 years. As a local I avoid it during the Summer months, the lines are long and service/quality suffer during the extremely busy seasons. During off seasons it... More

If you want fresh and delicious seafood then look no further. Browns is a no frills, byob, old school restaurant that sits on a salt water marsh. The fried shrimp that I has the best I've ever had; I could go on and on.. The only negative was that some of their employees seemed like they really didn't want to... More

Was there when hardly anyone was there. I agree with some other posts, "not as good as it used to be". I go several times a year with my wife and sometimes friends. There was a definite change somewhere along the line. "However", this time my plate was "full" and the food tasted extra fresh. Was visiting Massachusetts and had... More

Going to Brown's used to be an annual trip for our family, one that we all enjoyed. The last couple of times we were there, the food was not as good, the service "sucked" (mostly young people with attitudes) and the prices were very high for the portions. I don't have a problem paying for a good seafood dinner, but... More

An institution in the area, and I can see why. A simple place one step up from the old clam shacks I knew as a kid growing up in Massachusetts, it was packed with people sitting to eat or ordering to go. I had a lobster taken from the tank and popped into the pot before my eyes. This is... More
