If you're looking for great seafood then this is the place. If you're looking for a quiet dining experience, then this is not the place. I have been coming to Browns for 20 years. As a local I avoid it during the Summer months, the lines are long and service/quality suffer during the extremely busy seasons. During off seasons it... More

If you want fresh and delicious seafood then look no further. Browns is a no frills, byob, old school restaurant that sits on a salt water marsh. The fried shrimp that I has the best I've ever had; I could go on and on.. The only negative was that some of their employees seemed like they really didn't want to... More

Was there when hardly anyone was there. I agree with some other posts, "not as good as it used to be". I go several times a year with my wife and sometimes friends. There was a definite change somewhere along the line. "However", this time my plate was "full" and the food tasted extra fresh. Was visiting Massachusetts and had... More

Going to Brown's used to be an annual trip for our family, one that we all enjoyed. The last couple of times we were there, the food was not as good, the service "sucked" (mostly young people with attitudes) and the prices were very high for the portions. I don't have a problem paying for a good seafood dinner, but... More

An institution in the area, and I can see why. A simple place one step up from the old clam shacks I knew as a kid growing up in Massachusetts, it was packed with people sitting to eat or ordering to go. I had a lobster taken from the tank and popped into the pot before my eyes. This is... More

On our trip all around the east coast we had the best Lobster Roll at Brown's. We had a lot of rolls, but here you get the tastiest! If you stay in this area, don't miss the place.

I recently moved to Seabrook and have been looking forward to some great seafood to enjoy with my husband. I can remember going to Brown's as a kid with my family for lobsters and it was always enjoyable. First of all, the prices are too high for the portions. I don't mind spending the money for a great meal but... More

We found this place by being lost in the area and rolled down the window and asked a man who was walking his dog! We loved the simplicity of the place. We were looking for a good lunch on our way to the airport, it is not fancy in anyway. Ordering is a little different and the help let's you... More

Who still cooks with lard? Sure tasted like they do here or this was left over oil from the 19 5 0's. Go to their website. The fried food is dark brown with a foul aftertaste. Medium fries, clams, and oysters $58. We threw it out after a few bites. So m any other places to choose from in the... More

We had dinner here recently. The boiled lobsters were very good. The steamers were equally great. Fried clams were tasteless. And the fried scallops were very good. The restaurant really has no ambience....it's noisy and just picnic tables crammed close together in a large room....prices are very high for what you get!
