A Fried Seafood Lover's Fantasy (NOT!)

We heard such great complements about this place we had to try it - we love seafood (but not fried) and it would appear that fried seafood abounds here. We heard such great complements about this place we had to try it - we love seafood (but not fried) and it would appear that fried seafood abounds here. We stopped to this restaurant because we saw a lot of people ordering there so we though it was a sign of success and good food. We took the seafood plate and the medium oignons rings. The portions were really big but too much greasy for us. The cashier lady did'nt have the time to help us with the menu.... More

If you haven't had s&!t before this is the place to get it. The lobster was overcooked, the scallops are mushy, the chowder is all cream, and the list goes on and on. McDonald's has better "seafood"

I love lobster, but don't always love the mess. Brown's probably has great, fresh boiled lobsters, but they also have great lobster rolls. Lots of fresh lobster meat and minimal mayonnaise. I highly recommend. You order at the counter. Their menus are spread out on the wall so be sure to look at both. You can eat on the deck... More

We've been coming here for decades and it hasn't changed. Outstanding fresh lobsters with varied sizes, but usually get 2+ LBs and male, steamed to perfection, along with fried scallops and shrimps you order and bring to your picnic table, along with chardonnay we bring in. Mouthwatering OUTSTANDING where you can dress down and pig out and then wash on... More

Most everything is fried so it wasn't really for me but my family liked it. Service was fast I've had better. It was fun though

Simple but delicious! We've been to Brown's many times and always with family and friends. We BYOB or wine and just sit and enjoy the steamers and a 3lb lobster. Reasonably priced and perfectly delicious.

We stopped by Brown's after a day at Salisbury Beach. I had been there 15+ years ago and remembered it was really good and right on the marsh. Food was excellent. We had lobster rolls, fried clam strips and fried seafood platter, all very good. Service is walk-up window to order then picnic tables inside overlooking the marsh. Be prepared... More

We had some delicious lobsters on the deck. The prices were the best we've seen so far in New England. The view was spectacular. We also had their fries which were some of the best fries we've ever had. Gauging from the taste of the fries, I imagine all of their fried seafood is probably as tasty. My daughter tried... More

My wife and I had the best fried seafood plate we've ever had at Browns in May of this year. We were bragging about it while on family vacation 1st week of August 2015. We loaded up two cars and headed out, what we got this time was almost unedible. The scallops were small, mushy and had no taste, the... More
