I had never been to the Poor People's Pub, though I have driven by the sign on Rt. 16 for years. The French onion soup was amazing! It is a great place to eat and watch the football game on Sunday afternoon.

I've eaten dinner at Poor People's Pub twice now and loved it both times. The fish is bought from the guy across the street and is devine. The pepperoni pizza stick thingees are also very good. They have specials every day - they're specials for a reason; they're that good. Don't miss this place. It might look a bit seedy... More

We ate dinner at the Pub. It was incredibly busy and we had to wait outside for about 15 minutes. Otherwise everything was great.

average food, overpriced, dark, but clean inside. Sat near the only bathrooms---they need more!! people standing and waiting the whole time we were there. Ownership will have to step it up if they expect to survive on Block Island.

If you are not there early, there is a long wait. Chairs are too short for the tables, You don't have one specific waitress/waiter, service can be slow. Fun place to eat, lots of menu choices, daily specials, "unique" atmosphere.

A friend and I stopped here for lunch early on a Sunday afternoon. It was not exceptionally busy.We were told to find a seat. So we did and waited. I finally got up and got menus for us. It seemed to take a long time for our sandwiches to be served. After finally getting our bill and waiting for someone... More

Service / Atmosphere: Their claim to be "NH's #1" is farcical. At best this is truly average food, coupled with extremely POOR service. Our server was hostile and in way too much of a hurry as to care about any aspect of our meal. In fact, she did not even enter one of our orders. This caused a long delay... More

Made the stop after church for lunch. The atmosphere is quaint with a pub feel and very clean. In our order, sandwiches, salads, soup. All great, all well prepped. The prices did not seem overly high to me 4.95 for hot dog and chips. 8.99 for a salad with grilled chicken. Our service however, was different. Our server was pleasant... More

Wonderful, friendly service but honestly food mediocre at best. Easy to find and parking out front. Would probably find someplace else next time...

Few words to spend for this pub...best comfort food in the whole country, trust me, an Italian speaking. And in a beautiful place in New Hampshire near the lovely Lovell lake...go there once in a lifetime!!!!
