great casual pub with lots of options

Great pub to stop and get a bite to eat. We have gone there for years and have never been disappointed. They have a daily special as well as sandwiches, pizza, and other dinners. They also sell t shirts.

The PPP is legend in Sanbornville/Wakefield. Friendly service and good prices for great comfort foods sums up the pub. While it is a favorite for the summer tourists it is a year round meeting place for the locals. We go back again and again and it's always a good time and a great meal. The nightly specials are great. We... More

First time here after moving to the area. The French Onion soup was probably some of the best we have ever had. My husband had the grilled double burger which was full of flavor and loaded with perfectly grilled toppings. I had the salad with lobster and it was a very generous portion of lobster. The nightly special was the... More

Recently we bought a camp near poor people's pub. We hit this spot every Friday night. Everything is delicious. Our favorite is the pub wings, they are a mixture of hot and sweet, strangest sensation but so good!!! Also good are the pepperoni sticks. We usually stick to apps. This is a classic pub style place with paper plates, nothing... More

I have always wanted to stop in here, and finally got a chance to. We were staying nearby on vacation and had lunch one day during the week. It was full of what i assume to be locals, having beers and talking. The wait was a little bit long to get our drink orders and food. The food was good... More

This local favorite is a treasure. Whether you order burgers, sandwiches or other fare, you won't be disappointed. The prices are right, the portions are generous, the service is friendly and the food is done to order. The menu is basic , nothing fancy. At under $5 a pitcher, the beer was an exceptional value, even at 'poor people's prices'.

I have eaten here many times over the years and always had a great experience. The lobster was literally the best I've ever had (and I've had many!)

We stopped here after seeing their billboard on Route 16, when returning to Boston from the White Mountains. It's only about 5 minutes from the main road. We ordered the HOT lobster roll, BLT and Tuna Sub. All were good, but wow, the lobster roll was great. It's not inexpensive (about $17) - but look at the all the lobster... More

Have been to this pub for decades- love their roast beef and BBQ sandwich. Simple, straightforward food for very reasonable prices. A favorite of locals- a place you should go if you camp on the lake during the summer just to say you've hit the local spot, and you should buy a tee shirt while you're there- they are so... More

Went last night specifically to have the lobster roll to see if it lived up to the title of "#1 in NH" two years in a row. It does. This lobster roll is made with a ton of lobster meat and very little mayo. So little, I wasn't even sure there was any in there! Just enough to hold the... More
