"The Pub" is a friendly and well run community gathering place. The food , always good, has gotten even better with the addition of a new talented chef. My pulled pork and cole slaw, specials on Wednesdays, was so delicious. I could not eat it all as it was a very generous portion so my family will enjoy it this... More

Living off Rt16 on the seacoast, our family frequently travels down 16 and past PPP and have stopped in on a few occasions. Our experience has been consistent. The food is always on the better end of "pub fare", prices are on the more reasonable side of the "tourist trap" restaurants along Rt16 but the service is usually poor and/or... More

My lady & I stopped by the PPP for lunch. We were not disappointed. Good service, good food, good value for the money, good atmosphere. Win, Win, Win.

Poor People's Pub is always busy, especially during the Summer tourist season. It might be because there are not a lot of eateries closeby. It has a nice pub atmosphere but the food is just average. Yes there is a nice selection of cold beer. One of their specialties is pizza ... Again average at best. My friend had a... More

What a pleasant surprise. We drove a mile out of our way from Rte. 16 to try this restaurant for lunch and were impressed with it. It offers a variety of meals and sandwiches. It is a casual pub atmosphere and quite busy for a weekday afternoon. I will surely visit this place again when I'm in the area. Prices... More

Saw the ad on the highway and stopped here. Food was good. It was super busy, but that is usually a good sign. Nothing spectacular here but it was a good lunch. Sandwiches came with chips only - so you had to order 'up' and pay for fries. Not sure I would stop here again, but it's on the way... More

I had heard that they had great Lobster rolls so we headed to Sanbornville, NH to check it out. Got there at 1pm and the place was packed! A good sign. Pretty much all locals. Started with the French Onion Soup and finished with Lobster rolls. A great lunch! Friendly service too! They have an extensive menu and a good... More

I had never been to the Poor People's Pub, though I have driven by the sign on Rt. 16 for years. The French onion soup was amazing! It is a great place to eat and watch the football game on Sunday afternoon.

I've eaten dinner at Poor People's Pub twice now and loved it both times. The fish is bought from the guy across the street and is devine. The pepperoni pizza stick thingees are also very good. They have specials every day - they're specials for a reason; they're that good. Don't miss this place. It might look a bit seedy... More
