Food is great. We ordered lobster roll (double), clam chowder, lobster pie, calamari and wild blueberry cobbler. We ordered it all to go. Loved everything. French fries were dry, though, but we don't like to eat a lot of them anyway. Cobbler was phenomenal. The staff was very helpful, they did not want the ice cream to melt, so they... More

The food was just ok but the service was really horrible. We were there on a Thursday afternoon at 3 p m and had to wait 10 minutes for anyone to wait on us. The waitress really seemed disinterested in her job.

When we've driven by the people that we see going in are all "white hairs" and that usually indicates food that is bland. In any event, we visited because the Weathervane was listed on "iDine" with a 10% bonus Monday - Thursday and were pleasantly surprised. The Lazy Man Lobster was at Market Price (2 lobsters out of the shell)... More

This place has been around since I was a kid and its hasn't changed. the old school mariner looks and the good fish have always been a staple when visiting family back home. Of course there are little fish shacks out by the beach 30 + minutes away. In Salem this is some of the best fish especially if your... More

This is the best place in town for a lobster dinner. Nothing fancy here, just well-prepared seafood.

We frequent this restaurant about once a month I'd say - and we've never been disappointed. There is a lot of variety of seafood here and we've tried it all. It's all good. My favorite is available on special and seasonal menus on occasion and it's seafood puttanesca. Just had it last week and it was terrific as always.

First we started out with ordering sodas and potato skins. When the waitress brought the sodas and rolls all three rolls were doughy we told the waitress and she left them on the table when she return we had to ask her to take them away when the potato skins came out no sour cream had to ask and receive... We ate at about 9 PM on a Saturday night and it wasn't very crowded. I ordered the fried clams, which were probably the best ones I've ever had. They were prepared just right. My spouse had the fried shrimp, which was OK, but was prepared almost like tempura and the batter was too bready. The service was a bit... More
