Colosseum Restaurant

We heard great things about this restaurant so my Mom and I stopped there for lunch. The food was good but something must have been going on because we felt like we were an imposition to the staff. Our server never came back to check on us, nor asked us if we would like anything else. I had my... read more

Great for lunch or dinner! Do not miss the stuffed artichoke app! Service is always excellent and they will make almost anything you want or tweak one of their meals to suit you.

Took my in-laws their for Pam Sunday. We all enjoyed the antipasto platter with a variety of pickled veggies, cheeses and meats. The bread arrived at our table hot with a nice crusty exterior. The shrimp in the scampi were jumbo size U10. The angel hair pasta was perfect as it was enveloped in the butter lemon sauce. I had... More

My girlfriend and I wanted to grab dinner so we decided to try out the Colosseum! We walked in and was quickly greeted by the host and hostess (good start in my book), and they asked if we wanted a booth or table, of course we decided the booth! Sat down in the bar area where the music was going... More

Not many restaurants do tableside Caesar Salad any more and we really enjoy it when a restaurant does so. Tableside Caesar made by either Estafano or Pal is always great! The Veal Francese served with gemelli pasta was excellent. The Vermicelli Pomodoro was a bit disappointing. The Colosseum is a favorite with locals and a place where you never feel... More

Almost every time I go to this restaurant I get the Veal Parmesan. The last time I went I got the Veal Francaise with homemade pasta. It was excellent.

Got the table side Caesar, it was great. It was the waiters first time making it, great job. The bread was wonderful (I think from Tripoli's bakery?) Ordered the veal and eggplant parm. It was terrible. There was barely any sauce, and the sauce had no flavor. The veal was tough, bland and no flavor at all. The eggplant was... More

I had to plan a last minute dinner with friends in the Salem area and it being Valentines weekend, there were limited choices where I could make a last minute reservations. The Colosseum had availability and mixed reviews so I decided to give it a chance. While it was good catching up with friends, the restaurant was a big disappointment.... More

I have never written a negative review on trip advisor. The coliseum in Salem used to be a five-star restaurant. Tonight my husband and I wanted to be fairly casual but go for a nice meal. We went to coliseum and sat at the bar. Three thirtyish women sat at the bar with a nine-year-old boy. I thought kids weren't... More
