Great coffee selection.

Large coffee selection. Extremely pleasant counter person. Yummy gelato and desserts. Great place to sit outside, enjoy your purchase and people watch.

Stopped with my kids for an afternoon snack after a walk through beautiful downtown Portsmouth. Delicious baked goods were enjoyed by all!

It seems that all of the girls behind the counter were attractive, so I have to mention that first. But the coffee was great,a nd the prices were very fair and much better than that horrible St**bucks across the street. This is definitely the better spot.

Adorable little shop with a nice vibe. Great location! Good coffee and excellent sweets to choose from. You can sit outside and enjoy people watching. A man was playing bag pipes on the sidewalk. It was a Friday nigh so lots of people and traffic

Came in 3 sizes. I ordered medium and it could have been large. Next time I will try small maybe then it would be like in Italy. A bit too much foam. Otherwise it was good.

With more than a dozen outdoor tables on a tree shaded plaza, this coffee spot is a great place to start your day or take a coffee break during your visit. Very good fresh roasted coffee on the premises, with fresh baked breads and pastries. Definitely a big cut above the homogenized Starbucks experience!

We all know that the coffee drinking experience transcends blackish water in a styrofoam cup. Drinking coffee is not about drinking coffee, if it were more of us will still be slurping sanka and keurigs would never feel lonely. Breaking New Grounds typifies what we long for, a bustling environment brimming with energy, stately decor to engage the senses, watercolors... More

Stopped by for a quick breakfast, we ordered an egg sandwich I wanted my eggs to be well done, they were not! So I didn't eat it, ordered a croissant instead, they have pastries too and it seem to be a place where locals and tourists alike go, they got very busy! If you want a quick bite this place... More

Large space with good coffee, although not necessarily friendly service. Had a cappucino and a blueberry muffin on a morning when I had a meeting to attend near town. You may not want to go here if you're in a hurry, as it took them about 10 mins or so to make a cappucino. However, if you've got the time... More

If you wish to be in the very center of the hubub that is Portsmouth in summer, there is no better place than this. See and be seen. Used to be my favorite place. This morning, I went in and asked for a pot of tea, the tea to be put in the pot - without the filter, and the... More
