Asked a few locals for lunch options and Rudi's was suggested. It was mid day and quiet which we enjoyed. Don't drink so I can't comment on the booze. Me and my gal shared the mussils which were not over cooked and very flavorful. My girl had the fid ravioli which were also perfect on a cold rainy early spring... More

We stopped in for a Sunday jazz brunch and sat in the bar area of the restaurant. By 1015 the restaurant and bar were busy. The staff was friendly and efficient. The menu was broad w traditional favorites...many with a twist. My eggs Benedict w lump crab was delicious. My family was very happy w their eggs Benedict, breakfast tortillas,... More

Whenever we are in Portsmouth, NH, our first choice for dinner or just appetizers is Rudi's, which is just off Market Square in downtown Portsmouth. The prices are very reasonable and the menu selection is wide enough for anyone. We often go for appetizers and a salad--this on nights when we want to have some wine and enjoy the light... More

Ate dinner here before a concert. Bar in front was slammed at 5:00, walking through to dining room which is white table clothes. Staff very attentive, good menu, and muted conversations. The Atlantic char, lobster pie, ahi tuna appetizer(small portion) and Madeira mushroom soup were excellent. The piano player is also a local and known by many played quiet background... More

Had a great meal at Rudi's last night and the atmosphere was wonderful. They had a 3-piece jazz ensemble - and they set a great mood. Highly recommend. Rudi's has been my 'go to' in Portsmouth for many, many years.

We chose Rudi's for brunch on a Sunday and were surprised to see how packed it was. We were told by the hostess that there would be a significant wait since we did not have a reservation but that we could see if there were any seats at the wine bar. We were fortunate that four people were leaving as... More

I have only been here for drinks. For small space, it's open and inviting. I got a Cosmo which was the best I've had! My husband had a martini and loved it. They have a couch area and cushioned bench type seating around the wall and window to maximize seating which is nice, and gives a relaxed feel. Nice spot!

I really like Rudis...the atmosphere is really nice with live piano music on the weekends. The food is good but I've had a few dishes here that weren't spectacular. It is pretty pricey...would go back if other friends chose to come here but probably wouldn't go back with just me and the hubby.
