We've eaten here several times for breakfast. It's small but cozy, and the food is very good, with ample portions. There are always great specials to try. The pancakes are superb, and I don't usually even eat pancakes, but I do here. Weekends are usually very crowded, but during the week it's a nice treat to eat here. The prices... More

The food here is amazing! Its definitely a great value, as well. This is by far our favorite breakfast in Portsmouth! Can get very busy on the weekend, but during the week this is the spot!

Colby's is one of my three favorite breakfast spots in Portsmouth; I go out to breakfast often. Colby's is warm and cozy with mostly locals frequenting it. The menu choices are fun and varied and my favorite is the Huevos Rancheros. Fantastic! I try to order them with avocado, when in stock. Their pancakes are also wonderful, especially the blueberry... Casual breakfast place with comfort foods prepared fresh, farm-to-fork. I love coming here. I feel at home. Pancakes are huge, buttery, and crispy on the edge. All you need is just one! Friendly service and fair prices. Bring your friends and family.

We've been to Colby's for breakfast several times now, and waited on average a half hour or so in the cold for a table - and have never regretted it. They thoughtfully provide coffee outside to enjoy while waiting, and once in, prepared to be delighted. Service is prompt, friendly and attentive, and the food is out of this world... More

They do seem to take the trouble to get pretty much everything right. The setting is lovely, bright and clean with excellent chairs. It's in the heart of town. The food is excellent, best corned beef hash I've had in many years, and my colleague's eggs benedict were perfect. Good coffee, freshly brewed. Delightful service. What a fine way to... More

Was on a long trip from Maine, and stopped here off of I95 to get some lunch. Easy to get too, in the older part of Portsmouth. They made our sandwiches in 5 minutes and we were back on the road quickly. Staff friendly, food reasonably priced. Would stop there again.

My friend ordered the pumpkin spice pancakes and I ordered the veggie eggs Benedict with vegetarian sausage and roasted brussel sprouts. Everything was worth the 30 minute wait in the chilly New England November.
