I've been to Colby's a couple of times for breakfast when visiting Portsmouth and it's a pretty good find. Food and coffee are quite tasty. Service is brisk and effective. Staff is super, super friendly and keep the whole place running nicely. Prices are reasonable. If you're in Portsmouth and looking for a good breakfast then it's Colby's!.......Colby's........Colby's!!!

Looking for breakfast with my wife the morning before we headed back home after my conference in Portsmouth. Went on Trip Advisor's recommendation. Food was excellent and staff was friendly. I had omelette and wife's pancakes were great... Business was brisk, but they kept the guests moving through and smiling. A real Portsmouth find and deserving of #10...

I am in Portsmouth on business frequently and go to a lot of the local dinner places . I just on TA for some good breakfast places to walk to and stumbled upon Colby's. I know they are known for their pancakes and other dishes but just got a simple sausage and eggs with coffee and it was great,.usually greasy... More

Whether it's traditional bacon & eggs with toast and hash browns or something you might only eat occasionally...think large as your plate pancakes that are somehow fantastically light. You can't beat the quality, portions size or prices at Colby's. Definitely one of the best overall breaky's around.

Ate here two breakfasts in a row and the best breakfasts we had this week. Ask for the special "triple the blueberry pancakes". Amazing if you like blueberries. Very friendly staff with big warm smiles. We will probably go back tomorrow also.

Forget about Friendly Toast- you want a great variety of breakfasts available at an affordable price, immediate inside seating with maybe 10 tables for the two of us,(a Friday morning at 8:30) and we saw nobody waiting during our hour there), served by at least two different friendly staffers- this is the place. We walked over from the nearby Ale... More

Sunday morning in Portsmouth and Friendly Toast was jammed with a 30+ minute wait. We moseyed in the other direction and found Colby's on the recommendation of a local family we met on the street. After a somewhat shorter wait we were seated and quickly served a delicious, affordable brunch. Service was quick and accurate - not too chummy or... More

A cute little restaurant that has a peaceful atmosphere. We went here for brunch and had their sandwich and soup combo. I had their tuna, which wasn't too bad but my partner had their reuben and that was tasty. I wish I had tried their breakfast menu as every dish that came out for other patrons looked incredible! Staff were... More

Went to Colby's for Breakfast and it was just OK. It is a small restaurant with some outside seating. We waiting for some time to get in which was to be expected on a holiday weekend. The waitress was a little slow in coming to our table and once our order was taken it took a significant amount of time... More
