Accio Wonderful Food and Ambience: Harry Potter Bridal Shower Wonders

The place is cosy and nice to sit . We both had a very good steak served after 50 minutes. The handcut french fries were baked potatoes cut in pieces and half burned. The pepper sauce was a white sauce in which they dropped a few pepper grains and totaly tasteless. However the steak was baked to perfection.

A formal dinning restaurant, the steaks on offer can't be gone past. From when you enter, the restaurant speaks of old New Hampshire, the bar area is warm and cozy, and the main dining room (set as library) is inviting. We were welcomed by the owners, who are in residence in the bar that night. Food portions are large and... More

Don't go here! We were considering have our wedding reception at this place and from the get go the staff could care less! The meal was super heavy and greasy and almost choked my fiancé when they left a giant piece of plastic in one of the side dishes. Gross and disgusting! We'll never be back again!

The Library has the feel of a more formal restaurant. The food and service are great . We had the 8oz filet Au Poivre and the Chicken Oscar and they were both very good.

Agreed with some of the other reviews - prices seems quite steep for a very reasonable meal - but it is a tourist town, portions were substantial and the food was very high quality. Had a little slow start getting drinks served, but after that all went smoothly and we were not disappointed. Steak was excellent quality, and the seafood... More

My husband and I went to the restaurant early to have a drink at the bar before sitting down for dinner. The owner was sitting at the bar berating one of the young girls to the point where she broke down -- all over $10. Very disappointing. The owner saw my husband and I as well as another couple sitting... More

Had dinner here a few months ago. Great ambience, great service and attentive staff. We had salads as appetizers, steak & baked cod as main courses, then split a piece of chocolate cake. We washed it down with a nice Cabernet. The steak was slightly over cooked and lacked seasoning. The cod was pretty good, but also under-seasoned. The rest... More

Sometimes the place outshines the food and service, so it's nice when they coincide. And The Library is one of those places. Our second visit strengthened our first impresion: this is one that really works! Amazing historical building, artfully decorated with amazing woodworks and plenty of books, of course. Our Sunday Brunch was great.

Beautifully restored historic building with a great wine menu and cuisine for all to enjoy! Can be very busy and reservations are advised! Wait staff was exceptional! Celebrated our Daughters graduation from UNH and this was a memorable restaurant and occasion for us all!
