We had a family gathering for lunch here. It is a popular restaurant; we had about a 20 minute wait on a Saturday. We enjoyed the advertising/kitschy decor, but were rather disappointed with the food. The location is convenient (right in the heart of Portsmouth downtown), so it worked well to have a bite, then walk around in this charming... More

I have been a few times and each time I waited a minimum of 40 minutes to be seated. The food is so awesome and worth the wait. Once you are seated, service is good. There is lots to look at on the walls and everywhere for that matter. You can entertain your self just looking at all the old... More

So when the waiter says to order only ONE pancake....listen to him! Thought I could polish off two pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes-wrong! They were huge! So yummy. Great Bloody Mary. Mike the waiter was great and atmosphere was fun. Great way to finish our trip to portsmouth-we will be back!

Unique, delicious breakfast with an awesomely funky decor! We got there not long after they opened on a Tuesday morning, and our waitress, Kristin, was fantastic. She steered us right on the breakfast special with homemade hollandaise sauce, and the granola was to die for... who knew raspberries could taste that good? They were also running a Yelp special for... More

This is a popular location for locals as well as visitors. It is located in the heart of downtown Portsmouth NH. There is ample seating but expect to wait a short while at normal meal times. One of the coolest features is the decor, which makes up for typical and standard, good but not exciting food. The menu as something... More

This is the kind of place that seems to believe that "Customers" really have no understanding of the dining process. They act as if they can tell you that you are having a great time, and, as a result, you will believe them This is predicated in the necessity that you will ignore "the man behind the curtain", as in... I love this restaurant. It's full of fun, kitschy decor on the walls and ceilings. Each table or booth has unique garage sale treasures used for sugar bowls, lamps, etc. Our server was very friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere immensely. They have lots of interesting breakfast specialties and several bread choices for thick, satisfying toast. Go hungry!

This is one of our go-to breakfast places when people come to visit. It's still kitschy and yummy, with a great energy; very fun start to the day. Plan on waiting for breakfast/brunch unless you're there by 9:00 am. It's under new ownership but they've improved some of the not great and kept the great. It's great for dinner and... More

Place has wait, but several open tables... Not sure why. Food was outstanding. Coffee terrible, quite harsh/bitter. Bacon, home fries and pecan waffle each amazing. Must try spot.

What a fun place for breakfast! They have such interesting things hanging on the walls that you can spend your entire visit just looking at the artifacts of a bygone era! The food was excellent. I had a ham and cheese omelette which was fluffy and actually too much to finish. They served potatoes which were both fresh and tasty... More
