Nice find...

We were looking for some place to grab breakfast after leaving our hotel down the street and saw the cars parked on the street, which told us this must be the place to go! We had about a fifteen minute wait and it was definitely worth it. Had the egg white omelet with bacon, cheese and broccoli. It... read more

I was here one time about 10 years ago; a regular insisted that it was THE place to have breakfast. At the time, I was completely underwhelmed (but of course, I wouldn't insult my friend by saying so), and never visited again. Until a few weeks ago. With the Sagamore Bridge back in place, I decided it was time to... More

Not wanting to pay the very high prices asked for breakfast at our hotel we stumbled upon the Golden Egg. OMG – probably one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. It was so delicious we went back again the next day. I discovered the joys of jalapeno bacon, which they offered when we were there, and was shattered... More

Super busy but great service and great food. So much better than our nearby expensive hotel. Coffee kept coming and the portions were excellent-highly recommended.

Everything started off great, friendly service, fresh hot coffee, impressive menu but then it had a great fall. They forget to mention all the ingredients, my vegetarian wife discovered they put sausage in her meal even though we specifically asked what was in it. I wanted something different and this menu looked it. I ordered what I thought as per... More

If you see a line out the door, don't worry, they know how to move people in and out, it's never a long wait. Every single item on the enormous menu is fantastic. We eat here often and have never had anything that wasn't excellent.

My husband and I spent a long weekend in Portsmouth and went for breakfast at The Golden Egg twice, it was so good. Both of us need to be gluten free, and I must be dairy free as well, so we were thrilled there were so many gluten free muffin choices on their menu. Only the carrot spice muffins were... More

Been here many times as we live close by. The food is excellent and the prices are good. The place is small, there is often a line but it is worth the wait. The pancakes are excellent, the rest of the breakfast foods are good. Waitresses are friendly even if they are a bit in a hurry at times. Food... More

We actually planned to visit the Egg when we went out east for a wedding. Found out that there is some construction on a bridge that connects that area with Portsmouth. So a round about way to get there was found. It was sooo worth it! My husband had already known what he was getting. Eggs Sagamore. Eggs Benedict with... More

We ordered breakfast to go and ate at the beach because this place was so packed on Sunday morning. The California Eggs are so good. The pumpkin bread with cream cheese was really tasty.
