We really enjoy Rusty's where the locals hang out. A little noisy but a place you can bring your kids and not feel uncomfortable when they get a little loud. Prices are fair and the location is great. A pub style place to go in Portsmouth if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a meal.... more

Don’t go, save your money. (Aug 24, 08') The place was dead (should have been a sign) for a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Waitress was unknowledgeable and seemed preoccupied even though she had no other tables. The Rusty Hammer is in a great, central location, and it's a good, basic place for burgers, sandwiches, and pub-type appetizers. The service is always efficient and friendly. Right in the middle of beautiful, historic, downtown Portsmouth, The Rusty Hammer is a great place to take the family and/or to meet with friends for cocktails.
