Fabulous menu. Delicious appetizers and good variety of wines. There were four of us and I was the only one not happy with my meal. I had the Bouillabaisse and while generously stocked with fish, the broth was disappointingly bland. I was not wowed. However, my companions raved about the Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Chicken Francais and the Pork Tenderloin. I... More

We enjoyed dinner here the weekend before Memorial Day. My girlfriend had the pork tenderloin and I had the beef tenderloin. Both were cooked exactly as ordered and were delicious. I enjoyed an excellent Spanish cava. Service was very good, friendly but not obtrusive. I'd go back any time I was in Portsmouth.

This is the former Cafe Mirabelle. The name transformation I am told is a long personal saga of the owners. Never matter this place has two seating areas. The smaller in the wine bar has a few tables and is good for couples of foursomes. The upstairs has seveal more tables and can seat a few parties of six or... More

My girlfriend and I were looking for a new place to eat before a play in Portsmouth. There was a little place away from the main streets that caught our eye. This bistrot was awesome. There were 2 floors with a wine bar on the 1st floor and regular dining upstairs. It was an intimate setting with an awesome menu.... More

First impressions were excellent, a very nice restaurant. Excellent staff who served us promptly with drinks and provided menus. The menus had some interesting dishes, all looked set for a promising evening. The food spoiled the evening; it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The dishes which looked so promising didn't deliver in terms of flavour or cooking.

My husband and I had a fabulous dinner at Bridge Street Bistrot last night. Found it on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. The staff was very friendly, atmosphere was lovely and the service was top notch. I had the beef tenderloin and it was perfectly prepared. My husband loved his bouillabaisse too. We shared a great bottle... More

5 yrs ago my wife and I were searching for a French cuisine restaurant and came across Bridge Street Bistrot, then known as Cafe Mirabelle. We went there and had a fabulous dinner and from that first experience was the start to a yearly tradition. We go there each yr for a birthday dinner and each time we absolutely love... More

I hesitated going here when I saw there were few recent and several critical reviews here. Happily, I saw the many recent, excellent reviews on Open Table and felt reassured to try. We are so happy we did! From the moment we walked in and saw the tidy (and tiny) wine bar where a content couple was ensconced in a... More

Cozy and oh so provencal decor, the wine bar at the entrance is so much fun! Order by half glass, glass or a bottle! Make your own flights or nibble - it is non pressured, simply and casually laid back, like enjoying a tertulia at your favorite aunts house... Then head upstairs and pig out... The duck trio, cassoulette -... More

Gave my husband a few options for dining in Portsmouth to celebrate his birthday and after looking at the menu and choices - he chose the Bridge Street Bistrot. We read the reviews and were hoping we wouldn't be dissatisfied - well - we were not. What a great little find. We'd come back here again without any hesitation. It's... More
