Great spot for a sunny summer afternoon

I am sure to stop by the Ferry Landing every summer for the great outdoor eating experience on the decks in Portsmouth. No better time to go than a sunny summer afternoon. The seafood is good though not amazing and prices are a little on the high side but worth it for the most part.

My husband & I were camping with my cousin and her husband and we had 3 dogs with us. We found this restaurant and saw there was a table outside so we could order and eat there. My cousin and her husband shared a platter of fried clams and scallops. They enjoyed their food, but it wasn't anything to write... More

Had a fried scalp appetizer that should be an entree. A full dozen scallops and fantastic taste. Lobster roll was huge and fantastic. The atmosphere is a little beat up but that could be because it was end of season. Offers both indoor and outdoor seating with decent views. I would go back.

Great dinner on the wharf! Lobster feast with mussels and corn on the cob. The lobster was perfectly done. The guy next to us had shrimp, huge serving. Friendly service and great beer!

The service was good and the food was delicious. While not at all fancy dining, the menu contains quite a selection. There is a full bar with generous sized drinks. The fish and chips were some of the best I've had.

We had lunch here a few weeks ago and it was a raining, miserable day. The awnings were up over their outdoor seating, so we were able to see the water and still stay dry. Service was great. We ordered the fried scallops for appetizer and they were so fresh they tasked like the ocean. I had a special salad... More

Stopped in for lunch and ate on the deck. What a great spot! The views and the atmosphere were great. Our server was attentive and very helpful. I had their specialty margarita and it was delish. My husband had one of the craft beers they had on draught. I started with the fried zucchini app and it was really good....lightly... More

Relied on Trip Advisor to recommend somewhere in Portsmouth. Where else to smell the salty sea air, see tugboats than at 'The Old Ferry Landing'. One of the smaller restaurants along the landing but atmosphere, food and service were great. Get there early as it fills up between 1-2pm especially on the deck. Casual and laid back but all customers... More

Best Lobster Roll ever!! Nice view of river. Casual yet very nice! We sat on the deck outside. If you are looking to mingle with other tourists this is the place for you as the tables are in very close proximity to each other. The place is alive and the sounds of the harbor add to the quaintness! Highly recommended!
