Great place! Great food!

Went here with some people from work, had a great time, bumping into other people from the office while we were there... obviously this is a local favourite! Busy place, we had to wait for about 40 mins, but well worth it. They have a bar section, and a dining area with great service. Food was... read more

We started with the Calamari & Crab Cakes. The calamari were very sweet and tender and the crab cakes were delicious. I ordered the littleneck clams from the raw bar and these poor things were just babies. The shells were smaller than a half dollar and there was very little clam to scrape out of the shell. I then had... More

We went on a Friday night so it was very busy with a large queue waiting. Luckily we had reserved a table and were taken to it straightaway. The fish dishes were excellent and the ambience was good. The only downside is trying to find a parking spot nearby on a Friday night, which was not surprisingly, very difficult.

The hostess and waitress were excellent as we didn't realize what the restaurant was until we ventured inside with our two toddlers. They were warm and welcoming even with my daughters food allergies. Calamari was the best I've had, hands down. My fish on the other hand was good but several parts were burnt to a crisp, much more char... More

The seafood dishes are fresh off the boat and delicous. However, didn't like the fact that the wine prices (by the glass) were not given or on the menu. One small glass of house chardonnay was $13! I had the Mahi Mahi, it was listed on the blackboard of fresh catches. The ones on the menu were about $22-24, I... More

We decided to have dinner at Jumpin' Jays "spur of the moment" because we had a gift certificate burning a hole in our pockets. Fortunately for us, we didn't need reservations for our Monday night drop in and server Jen seated us right away while taking good care of us from clam chowder to start to creme brûlée to finish.... Food was served in a timely manner. Seafood selection was good and fresh but the menu could have been a bit more innovative and the service was good. Desserts were awesome.

You can not beat Jumping Jay's for the freshest seafood around. Service is excellent and drinks are top shelf. Their salads need a little bit of help I think it is the weakest spot.

I was last at Jumpin Jays about 15 years ago when it had just opened (I moved out of the area). It was a hot spot then and seems to remain so today, too! Four of us went on a Friday night (with reservation) and it was jumpin! The martini and raw oysters were fantastic. The halibut was slightly overdone,... More

Had, most probably, the best oysters I have ever had. My server, Paul, was efficient and engaging. He was knowledgable and explained the dishes well. Sitting by the window, watching the street scene was wonderful.
