After a day at the beach we could not find any acceptable restaurant in Hampton so we decided to go here. It's a really nice place with friendly staff. The food is good but not exceptional. Fortunately the serve European style so there are 10-15 minutes between the courses. Expresso coffee was horrible. You can skip that one if you... More

Get the mussels omggggg the broth is amazing!seriously some of the best mussels I've ever eaten. Raw platter is a nice selection- share with one person... We ordered it for four of us but it was not enough. Calamari melts in your mouth. If you like garlic, get the clams and spaghetti... Fantastic! Honestly, I don't think you could order... More

From outside it looks like a small cafe but it is a great restaurant. The menu is small which I like because that usually means the kitchen can manage the orders. The service was great and the food was amazing. I will definitely go back.

We walked in without a reservation at about 6 pm and were seated right away. If you go much later, I'd suggest making a reservation as it was busy and people were waiting for tables when we left. My husband had clam chowder and swordfish, which were excellent. I had oysters on the half shell, which were wonderful, and the... More

A friend of mine recommended this resto. And now I am recommending it to you! :) The ambiance was great as well as the customer service. But the greatest of all is the food! :p I loved their crispy calamari and their lobster from the raw bar. A lobster tail is not enough! A little pricey but the food here... More

A curious blend of the good and the disappointing: the staff who greeted us and served our food were friendly and pleasant and yet detached: as if they had been told to be friendly, but were just reading a script and not really invested. Even on a Monday night, with a not-quite-full dining room, the servers were moving at warp... More

Never let it be said that a great seafood restaurant can't also prepare other menu selections with flair. While our calamari was flaky and melt in your mouth good, JJ's signature pear salad with gorgonzola and filet mignons were the hit of the evening. Kate, our hostess heard that we loved our meal and kindly printed out a copy of... More

Can get your choice of the daily selection prepared any number of ways. Smaller menu, but the options are vast!

Extremely busy seafood restaurant located in the heart of Portsmouth. Reservations are a must, but walk-ins can usually get seating at the bar, with a full menu. Seating at the front end of the bar is advised...side bar seating gives you a view into bar sinks as well as a kitchen prep station. The menu is small. Although the bartender... More

Needed a reservation and waited 45 minutes but wasn't disappointed. Waited in the bar and had fun with the bartender. Great dinner served by a eco-friendly owner by wait staff that was very helpful. I will return again when in Portsmouth. Everyone enjoyed it.
