A definite recommendation. The food was superb, the service excellent and the atmosphere very charming, cozy and quaint on the second floor with lots of windows so you could see out above the city. I want to go back! more
I live in Portsmouth and what I love about Cafe Mirabelle is its low profile, short on pretension character. The food is simple, elegant and flavorful. My personal favorite is the Chicken Francais. Been there several times. Very well prepared French-style dishes. Decent portions. Cozy downstairs room with fireplace is nice in the winter. Across from a municipal parking lot. Bring quarters. House wine by the half carafe is less expensive and good. more
