Dine in or take out. Excellent quality and service. Not noisy, great place to meet friends and catch up.
Excellent sushi and tempura, and the entrees we tried were very well done. Service was a little slow but no problems and the interior is most pleasant for a relaxed dinner.
I took a couple of customers here for dinner and we went a little crazy ordering things. Sashimi, Maki, spring rolls, soup, drinks. I travel and eat a lot of Sashimi or Sushi. I would say this place was very, very good. Everything was fresh, well prepared and well presented. The atmosphere is nice with the traditional japanese tables against... More
Lunch after the crowd made it a nice dining experience. Ordered various dishes and they arrived in bento boxes. The food is presented attractively and we all enjoyed crisp tempura and good sushi. Service is not overly attentive--it's ok. I would go back again.
Do yourself a favor...do not eat here. I took the family here for dinner and it was a mistake. None of us liked anything we ordered including appetizers and entrees. The food was well below average and the the service was slow.

When we sat at the table I noticed the large room and the noise level. But it was a festive busy vibe. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and... More
We fell into sake when our first choice closed early and were not disappointed with the rolls. Pricing was reasonable for the area and atmosphere pleasant. One of several quality sushi options in the area.
Almost at the end of Congress Street in Portsmouth, Sake is a great place to eat. There is a good sushi bar and I love their Bento Box lunches. Lunch is a great deal with a price you will love. The ambiance is very "Japanese" and the food is quite good. Try a "Purple Haze" (hot sake with Chambord)...my fav.
We frequent this place often. Usually eating the same things. Salad with the ginger dressing, gyoza, tempura is very nice, light batter, not heavy, and the america Kobe steak, just a great dinner with some plum wine. I prefer a sitting at one of the special tables where you take your shoes off and your legs hang down whiles sitting... More
Had lunch here the other day and it was okay, but definitely not a meal that will stick with me as being above average. The sashimi pieces were very thick cut and colder than I would have preferred. The crispy chicken rolls weren't bad but the rock and roll maki wasn't very good. In summary just an average Japanese restaurant... More
