Good for beers and apps

I liked the Brewery - I've been several times in the past few years. Its usually a very crowded place, it is sometimes difficult to get a seat at the bar (which we prefer). We had lunch here on our visit of Portsmouth. We had a burger and these were tasteful and the side fries were very good. My son had the chicken burger which is recommendable. This place is famous for its beer selection, but we did not taste them.

My family had dinner at the Portsmouth Brewery during a recent overnight in Portsmouth. We were seated in the back room, away from the bar, where it was very quiet. My mother and I both ordered one of their craft beers, and they were very tasty. We both had a side salad (which was HUGE) and their fish sandwich, which... More

I came to the brewery knowing that I wanted alcohol, chicken tenders and french fries. It was just that kind of night. I got the local cider and enjoyed it enough. They had samples to try and they were all really delicious. We all liked the variety of sauces for the chicken tenders and they gave a very large portion... More

We ordered off the lunch Restaurant Week menu ($17 pp). The chowder was excellent. I expected sauce in the beef cannelloni, but it seemed like simply meat and mushrooms. Very tasty, I just wish there had been a bit more moisture. We got 3 tiny beers each, and they were pre-paired with the menu, but we were allowed substitutions. I... More

This was our first experience with this restaurant. The restaurant itself was fine but parking was a nightmare on a Friday night. The menu is interesting and different. Everyone can find something that appeals to them. The food was good as was the service. Only draw back was it was very noisy and hard to hold a conversation with people... More

Whenever we are in the Portsmouth area we make it a point to stop in the brewery for a meal. The beer is always good and the food has not disappointed.

12 great beers on tap (mostly local), and a tasty, eclectic offering of plates small and large. Our server, Walter, was very knowledgeable about the beers and food and made some great recommendations. We had the double sampler, which allowed us to try all of the brews on tap- a great selection. The food was all good, but the mussels... More

We have been here several times over the past several years and have not reviewed this place yet. What motivated this review was that there appears to be a trend of decay. Not terrible, just disappointing. Pros: Several choices of brews, many acceptable. Varied menu Convenient location when touring the Portsmouth area Cons: Service appears to have become weaker over... I think this place is great if you just want to hang out with friends and enjoy a beer and appetizers. It has many choice of beers. If you want to have a meal, I thought it didn't have a big selection. There are certain meals they cook every day. For example if it's Friday and you liked what is... More
