Good restaurant, but good luck getting into town on a weekend!!

My wife, my daughter and I were on our way to Ogunquit, Maine, and decided to stop in Portsmouth for dinner, as it was dinnertime. Now, I live in the Midwest, so I was totally unprepared for what came next. We spent an HOUR trying to find a space, the whole town was one giant gridlock. Eventually... read more

This place is fine, the food is pretty average and what to be expected from bar food.. The beer is good though. So if you want to eat some la-la burgers and drink some beer this good.. The service is very nice thought.

Great and attentive bartenders that know their brews and can match to your taste! It is a lovely spot downtown Portsmouth with a large selection of craft beer,

Why all the hype. it's a working brewery. yay. foods mediocre at best. turnstile waitstaff, always not a good sign, ive known quite a few people who've worked there and are never forthcoming with anything good to say about the management. loud, packed with tourists, ( not a big local hangout) good luck.

It's nice when a place has good food along with their beer selection. This place does it right. There is a big menu with daily specials and lots of beer choices. We ate here two days in a row. Our first server was not especially friendly but we'll chalk that up to a long day. The server the second day... More

Very nice beer selection. Pub fare but not great. Nachos were pretty good. Would probably not go back unless for drinks only.

We enjoyed a late summer afternoon lunch in the PB courtyard out back. Not the most attractive space, but the fresh air and sunshine were welcome. A pint of the Little Stubbins ale was perfect for the summer heat. I enjoyed the Hot Pastrami on rye, preceded by a tasty Black bean & jack cheese appetizer. Mrs Gyr gave the... More

Made a visit for a late dinner (9 PM). Order the Calamari as an appetizer, had little to no flavor and basically was more batter than actual calamari. I then had the Pastrami Reuben. I realize it was late, but the pastrami was not slices or strips, it was more like bacon bits scraped out of the bottom of the... More

Arrived on Saturday night and was told 10 minute wait for a table, which seemed super quick, so went to the bar. Before we'd had a chance to order, our table was ready. Really good table, efficient and friendly waiter (Walter) who gave beer recommendations and good, fresh food - nachos and fish and chips all round, lovely! Have eaten... More

The restaurant prides itself on fresh local ingredients. The food was excellent. We ate here on a Wednesday afternoon and it was much busier than we thought it'd be. The food was delicious, albeit a bit longer than we thought it should take to get our drinks and food.
