The food was very good, with variety of options for vegan in addition to the seafood. They make their own beer - also very good. They accomodated toddlers well

My wife, 2 year old son and my parents ate here. The beers were great especially the blueberry ale which surprised me because I'm not a fan of fruit beers typically. The food was very good BUT the service was very slow. Getting refills on beer or even water took a long time. We also had to wait a long... More

This place is great: excellent selection of interesting beers (we had the Black Cat stout and oatmeal pale ale, both very tasty), nice atmosphere (good variety of seating options—patio, booths, tables, bar), better-than-average food, kid-friendliness (crayons, smiles, kids' menu, booster seats, and most of all no visible irritation with 2-year-old hi-jinx). We ordered the mussels (delicious), veggie burger (average), fish... More

Really good burgers and salads. Bustling atmosphere and good drinks. If there is a wait, they will take your phone # and text you when your table is ready, which was great.

We dropped in on a Friday afternoon to watch some soccer and tennis at the bar. We enjoyed the beer, and especially the mussel appetizer. It would have been nice if there was a menu with a list of the beers and a description. Very lively place.

Over the 4th of July weekend, my wife and I enjoyed a luncheon with some friends prior to a wedding reception. They had a great special of beef and potatoes that I enjoyed along with their Project X, an Extra Pale Ale. The wait staff were on top of things and extremely helpful with recommendations. We enjoyed this place so... More

Ducked into here for a night cap on our road trip. Our sever Corey was knowledgable and polite. Beers were good and we'd go back

This was my second visit to Portsmouth and to the Portsmouth Brewery. I got the special and kids had burger and club sandwich. Wasn't a bite left in anyone's plate. I'm not into microbrew beers so can't help on that matter. Definitely good and consistent and A+ wait staff. Recommend!

It was nice enough. The chef uses too much red pepper for me. I had the haddock wrapped in Lobster stuffing. It was hard to find a piece of lobster, but was covered in red peppers. The haddock by itself was good and so was the lemon sauce, it just needed more sauce. It was just ok to me.

Prices weren't terribly bad for being in Portsmouth. I ordered a burger and it was good. Nothing crazy. My biggest complaint was how loud it was with children screaming! I wish they would have seating more spread out. I probably wouldn't return because there are so many better options around than this average place.
