Not a bad place to eat. It has a limited menu. The beers are great and so are the mussels. They are truly known for their beer. Atmosphere is kind of like collage meet upper class style.

Portsmouth has a lot to offer. The Portsmouth Brewery is a staple of the seacoast village. They have an excellent selection of their own and other's brews. The pub grub is just above standard. Seating is difficult to come by, especially on a Thurs, Fri, Sat night.

Great place but you have to know when NOT to go as its often jam packed. The service is good, especially if Donna is your waitperson.

This place has great brews. This is an excellent stop if you are on a pub crawl. The food is just ok. With so many places to dine in Portsmouth you can do better. This place is always packed. Best bet is mid-day. Also you can avoid the crowds by going down stairs into the lounge. Same beers as upstairs... More

if you are a visitor to Portsmouth, this is a "not" to be missed restaurant . More about what it is, then how good it is. But it is good!

We had lunch here on Palm Sunday around 12 noon. The place was packed. By the time we finished, the line was out the door for people waiting. It seems like THE place to go. The beer choices were quite varied. The glasses are fancy and the entire atmosphere is super-inviting. Our waiter Walter was just wonderful, easygoing but efficient,... More

Went on a rainy Saturday with my husband and 3 YO. First it is completely family friendly but not overly so. Don't worry about bringing kids. Second - beer selection is awesome as everyone says. I got an IPA and DH got a stout, both were excellent (esp my IPA! I wish I could remember what brewery it was from!).... More
