Had a blast here. Service is good, bartenders friendly. Place had a waiting line on a Friday night so plan ahead. Hung out in the basement bar. Fun!

The Portsmouth Brewery is a nice bar with pretty decent bar food/sandwiches, etc. Great atmosphere... Get the beer flights! Definitely worth it if you like to try different beers.

Paddle sampler of six two ounce beers was only $6. Was fun to sample the local brew with our meal. Homemade chili delicious. Nachos were huge and good. Chicken tenders not so great. Brewery salad was awesome. Flatbread was just ok not great.

Our server was awesome. Food was good, beer was great but it was so loud I'm pretty sure my ears are still bleeding. Maybe try hiding some acoustic paneling behind art work or putting in decorative drop ceiling panels to help the noise level. Seriously. Even for a Friday night I feel like I will never hear again. I wanted... More

usually we visit at least twice during our Portsmouth visits but our experience this time was underwhelming. curry mussels were ok but the bread served with it was like a sub roll drenched in butter? and not well toasted. the ploughmans platter showed none of the imagination or care that we remembered. finally, the service was nothing like we experienced... Beer selection is good and I recommend the flight to really get the best sampling and most cost effective. Don't be deceived by the size of the flight glasses, it's still a more than decent amount of beer for the money. Small plate options are good, Arancini rice balls are a little saffron heavy for my taste but nachos are... More

Excellent service, accommodating to two couples and a preteen. Food was good quality and value and they brew some good beer.
