Good food, great beer

This is great place for a casual dinner. Beer is excellent, they brew their own and serve others as well. Food is also good. The grilled salmon ban mai was tasty. The restaurant is decorated nicely, service is fast and courteous. This is a nice place to eat and socialize in downtown Portsmouth. I... read more

On a recent trip to the northeast, my husband and I stopped at Portsmouth Brewery for drinks and dinner. The place was busy but our server Evelyn was terrific. The 6 beer sampler was a great way to try some of their brews. The menu is eclectic. My husband has a chorizo burger and said it was delicious and perfectly... More

We were in the basement area for a private event. The beers were delicious. An adequate wine list. Appetizers were fair. Very friendly staff. However, it did get loud down in the basement and was difficult to have a conversation. Atmosphere was good.

This is a great place to have a casual meal and good beer. It is always busy and you may have to wait awhile but it is a fun place to grab a bite and a few beers.

Most often my visit is to the upstairs bar and adjoining tables when the bar is crowded. The craft beer is exceptional and the food is consistently top cabin. The day/luncheon bartender/manager Donna is exceptional and always ready to offer suggestions. In addition to being a class act!! Downstairs, in the subterranean Joey Lapanza Lounge you will find a casual,... More

The menu offers vegan options and there are plenty of draft beers made in house. Something for everyone!

We got into town late and wanted to grab a casual dinner. Went to Portsmouth Brewery. Nice selection of beers. We each got a flight so we could sample a variety. We got the spicy curry mussels as it said they were known for them. We weren't disappointed! Delicious broth...I dare you not to soak it up with the garlic... More

We stopped in for a late lunch en route to Portland, Maine. We ordered the Po Boy Sandwich special which was quite tasty but was a little light in the quantity of oysters. We also had mussels and french fries which were both very good. The service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere is fun.

I really liked the Portsmouth brewery. I went twice this past weekend. First, for lunch, then later for pre-dinner drinks / bar snacks. Lunch was good, I had fish and chips. Very fresh fish, really nicely fried. Drinks and bar snacks were really the way to go. The bar snacks were super delicious, and they've got some really tasty beers... More
