Fancy lunch with a view

We enjoyed fish crepes, fish tacos, beer and tonic with lime. It is a upscale twist on cuisine that worked. We enjoyed the view and the friendly service. The booths are designed in a crescent shape to make it easy to view the water.

My husband and I went for an anniversary dinner. They don't take reservations which is a bummer but we left and got drinks on the deck just below. The calamari app was possibly the best I've ever had and the lobster dish was great. My husband's haddock dish was nothing great, but otherwise a great experience.

We had heard great things about this restaurant. My daughter wanted to try the buffalo fried oysters which we had as an appetizer. She thought they were good but I wasn't a fan. The meals were fine - she had the panko breaded cod and I had the flax and quinoa crusted haddock. The fish was prepared well but kind... More

Staying at the marmot Residence Inn downtown. Went to Surf last night wanting to try the hot stone. Got there, waited 30 minutes for a table outside ( only 4 table but tottallu worth it ). We sat at the bar meanwhile , took a drink and ordered a sampler tower for 2 person (32$). It as very good, 2... More

Decent menu choice, I had tuna starter which I cooked on a hot stone, nice. Main & desert equally excellent. Good service and reasonable price.

We had a delicious dinner for 6. We started with the deluxe raw bar, which was fantastic--fresh and plentiful. All the dishes were great, especially the seared tuna. We will definitely be going back. It's pricey, but worth it.

Chose SURF after looking at many. Re: location - nice views of the harbor and outdoor seating. Menu - simple, yet tasteful. Smaller venue. Reasonable $$.

We had a table overlooking the harbor. Everything about this place was so cool. We had lobster rolls and cole slaw. So tasty! Also, got some of the local craft beer----delicious. My sisters and I enjoyed the clam chowder as well!

Had not been back to Portsmouth in a while but made sure to stop in for Father's Day and had a great meal! We were seated at a high top table overlooking the water...we were promptly greeted and ordered cocktails and appetizers. For dinner I chose the surf and turf special, which was incredible- a filet paired with a fried... More

Recommended by friends in the restaurant industry, we wasted a Friday evening meal here. The waiter was inattentive, never told us the specials, got our order wrong and didn't seem to care. The location was nice over looking the water but it wad really loud & noisy. There are several better restaurants in Portsmouth!

Hello William, We pride ourselves here on professional service as well along with attention to detail in the execution of our food. That said, it is very disheartening to hear you had such a negative experience. We would really like to hear more details in regard to your experience --- one especially being the exact date and approximate time you... More
