At the Roundabout Diner and Lounge, we serve breakfast all day, great burgers and sandwiches, Phantom Gourmet award-winning BBQ, comfort food classics like meatloaf, roast turkey, and of course, local New England favorites like fish and chips, and the best lobster roll around. We also use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, like bread baked just for us by When Pigs Fly Bakery, breakfast sausage made for us in Vermont, local cheeses, and more. And we make all our desserts right here at the Roundabout. From scratch! Join us this Thanksgiving for an All You Can Eat Buffet! Having your own Thanksgiving gathering but don't want to cook? Relax, let Chill Catering handle it! Call the diner today for more details or to place your order for a Thanksgiving Dinner to go!

Good food, great deserts.

Four of us had lunch and really enjoyed our meals. The food was all well prepared, however, the deserts were really, really good.

I must admit when I read the reviews on The Roundabout Diner I was expecting better. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. First, they air condition to around 70. Too cold for me. I ordered the "meatball sub special". Didn't like it. Not saying it was bad, I'm just saying I didn't like it. I... More

The breakfast at our nearby hotel was so inadequate that we were able to walk to this diner. The food was prepared well and arrived hot to our table. The coffee was endless, too.

We love it here! It is fairly priced and family friendly (: I love the french toast and chicken dinner!! The pulled pork is also amazing!! My son loves the Mac n cheese. It's like you're "grandmothers macaroni" as I would say.

I have enjoyed the Roundabout Diner on many occasions over the years. The former HoJo's, located right on the Portsmouth Traffic Circle (or "Roundabout") boasts an extensive menu offering something for everyone. The '50s-styled decor and music adds great ambience to the cozy dining experience. You'll find many items that once graced the HoJo menu plus much more. The lobster... More

We came in for dessert but looking at all the customers food made us order som onion rings too. The batter was nice and light. The dip they provided looked like ranch but was so much better. It was agaric, horseradish, dill sauce that tasted so good with the onion rings. The brownie ice cream Sunday was perfect- enjoyed every... More

We stopped in for a late dinner. The food was actually quite tasty and the service was good! I had a burger and my husband had the lobster mac and cheese, we would recommend both these dishes. It comes up on you quite suddenly as the main sign is past the entrance.

We had breakfast here. The oldies music was pleasant. The 5 of us all enjoyed our meals. We had a range of eggs, bacon, home fries, and pancakes.

I've eaten here a few times and it has been consistently good. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. This visit I tried the clam chowder. When the chowder arrived it was more like a bowl of cream with a few chopped potatoes in it. I don't recommend it. My sandwich was delicious though so I guess it balanced things out.... More

The Roundabout has been a regular destination for my family for a few years and we continue to enjoy it. The food, while not gourmet, is delicious and well prepared. It's not unusual for some of us to be having breakfast for dinner and the "dinner food" and "breakfast food" are equally well prepared. Another plus is they they really... More
