The reason the folks below had no luck getting a call back is that Four Restaurant was closed on Oct 24th, 2013. They were in non-compliance with the law, in that they had let their liability insurance lapse in August. They were in non-compliance with their landlord, in that they had failed to pay the rent. Therefore, they were evicted.... More

They don't answer the phone, don't return reservation messages - maybe they just don't want customers??!?

I have been trying to reach them for 2 days to make reservations for my wifes birthday. 4 phone calls with messages, two emails. Absolutely no response. Save your money and go to Burgerking. At least they are courteous and appreciate your business.

I think my title says it all, only good thing was the atmosphere. Ordered the steak with blue cheese. I love blue cheese but this was the strongest blue I have ever eaten, completely over powered steak. The tomato bacon salad was meh, seriously guys cut a tomato in 1/4 put same pieces of bacon and that is your salad,... More

After seeing a movie this evening we drove into town, parked near Four and noticed there were seats at the bar. So, went in. Bryan made me an excellent martini and my wife enjoyed a nice glass of wine. Decided to go with the Chef's menu. Lovely salad, fantastic beef stew, excellent leg of roast chicken with pureed butter nut... More

Four was recommended by a guy at the Hilton Garden Inn. It truly was the best meal I've ever had. Steak cooked & seasoned o perfection. Creamed spinach and the "purple mash" were awesome. I just took my 2nd trip to Portsmouth in 3 weeks and I went back again. Carly is awesome, she took care of us both visits.... More

Ate in courtyard-nice. Table falling apart and had to be supported most of dinner. Tomato and bacon salad served without bacon-none! Mac and cheese was watery, steaks were so cool the butter would not melt, not cooked to order. Wife's steak redone -good. Still charged for tomato-bacon less salad, chef sent out a free desert. Candles on table unlit, bread... More

1. The Dumpster: My husband loves to dine outside so on a recent beautiful evening, we opted to have dinner in the courtyard of the Four restaurant. I immediately got a down draft of fetid air, saw that there was a fence and a broken screen separating the outdoor seating from another area and knew we were being shown to... More
