Recently, my wife and I each shared the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings for each course. These reservations were made well in advance since this section only seats 4 people at a time. You have a front row seat as Greg (head chef and owner) expertly prepares and cooks the 7 tapas courses (including dessert) right in front of... More

We went there for the first time for my birthday and I loved it. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was quick and the price was reasonnable! I would definitely go there again!

We had made a reservation because of a recommendation and found that our experience was problematic on many levels. First the waiter was less than friendly and while he gave us two tasting of potential wines, one of the glasses was dirty with something that looked like sand at the bottom. When it was mentioned, the waiter said nothing. The... More

Really really cool restaurant CAVA! You have to try this. If I lived within 100 miles of CAVA I'd be here often. The wine pairing to the tasting menu is spot on. Staff is very attentive every dish presented is a picture and described. Don't leave Portsmouth without stopping by CAVA! I love love the fact that you can get... More

Great way to eat! Small bites offering a wide creative selection of dishes. Service excellent, and it was obvious the owner was on premise. Great wine list, and I just loved the gazpacho shots. Nicely decorated with a warm and cozy feel.

We made the quick detour to Cava of I 95. Everything was first rate. Some have complained about the prices, but given the quality of food the restaurant was a good value.

This was year three and with a little apprehension, we booked three nights in succession. The manager actually called to see if he had made an error and we assured him that it was correct. So, was it a home run hit? Unequivocally, yes. We were so well treated it was almost embarrassing, not, mind you that we complained. I... More

Liked Cava in past years. This year I found the prices to be very high for the portion sizes, and food not as good as in years past. The pork belly was cut in small chewy pieces - not what I expect when I order pork belly. The foie gras was tasty but very tiny portion. The Lamb Chops were... More

Cava tops our list of restaurants that we like to revisit while at the Maine coast. It is rare that I can say excellent to food, wine list, service and ambience!!! The tapas is amazing and the menu while maintaining some of our favourites always has some interesting changes. The only unfortunate part is that we can't eat there more... More

I'll repeat: you've got to go here! My wife and I recently had dinner at this tapas restaurant and wine bar and we can't rave enough about the experience. We sat outside in the courtyard with its vertical living wall of greenery, a superb setting. Service was outstanding, from proprietor John who met us on arrival and through all those... More
