George's is the epitome of consistent food and service. They have a wonderful daily "back of the menu" special that includes a small salad or cup of chowder, fried shrimp, fries, and coleslaw that ends with a wonderful sundae. I've never tried their bbq and haven't deviated from ordering shrimp or fried fish, but that's due to the fact that... More

It is one of the few places that will serve you a good basic meal. We were traveling as a family and found it difficult to get decent food while in Lakes region. We stopped by this place on the recommendation of staff at the Wilderness Center. Fish & Chips and other kids' menu choices were adequate. Staff was helpful... More

I have been to George's three times. My Son and family have lived in the area for almost a year. Every time I visit from Florida, I make it a point to stop in. I grew up a coastal New England and know my seafood. George's is fresh and prepared properly. I highly recommend it. If you need a fish... More

Joined friends here for lunch the other day. After placing our order it seemed to take a long time to get served. Not sure if the kitchen was short-handed or not. Once the food came, at least a half hour later, it was very good. Our waitress never came back to see if things were all right. I found it... More

I said "no" to the question "Is this one of the best meals you've had?" only because this is not high cuisine. But it is excellent quality, reasonably-priced food. After all, few who live out here fulltime in the mountains of NH expect or can afford the pretentions of say, Boston haute cuisine. Yes, many restaurants here in the country... More

I only knocked it down a star because our entertainment while waiting for the meal was staring at a spider on the wall under the window that had a spider web clinging to it. I am not squeamish about bugs, but I know many people who would have run out the door at the site of our eight legged friend.... More

Thank you so much for stopping. It was a pleasure to serve you. I am glad you enjoyed your meals and had a little fun with the atmosphere. We do know it is dated. We also know that with good food and good service our customers are not here to eat the atmosphere. Thanks for understanding and I will personally... More

Long haul from VT to MA and needed to stop here to feed the kids. Restaurant needs updating bc it's very dated and showing signs of wear!!!! There is carpeting which is vacuumed after each party leaves. I found that extremely bizarre especially while we were eating. Aside from the poor ambiance, the food and service were a decent value... Even though you are no where near the ocean, the food offered is very good. A little over priced, but then again they are shipping the food in from the ocean towns. But for your seafood fix, it is a perfect place to go. The service is friendly, and they offer a wide range of foods for you to enjoy.

Atmosphere is always friendly, prices for lobster is very reasonable, the lobster is cooked to perfection, and their combos are well balanced and prepared as you like it. Service is only slow when they are crowded- understandably. If in Plymouth area, ie for college visit, a definite must-eat kind on place
