We stopped here on our way back from a skiing trip and were pleasantly surprised . The décor is most interesting and the service friendly and efficient. I had the onion soup which was excellent and the fish and chips which was really well cooked in great batter,, My partner had the chowder which... read more

Had a few hours to kill so decided to head to Fosters for a few drinks and appetizers with my boyfriend. It was early, just before 5:30 on a Friday night. The bar was dead, not even more than 6 people including us. We walked in and sat and I immediately felt unwelcome. The bartender looked at us and never... More

We ate at Foster's a few times and always enjoyed our experience. We met friends there last night for dinner and things have changed. Our server was pleasant and brought our food out very quickly! Looks like the staff has been instructed to up sell! We tried the popcorn appetizer with maple syrup and bacon which was recommended by our... More

The tri-level restaurant has a great bar and large screen TV for viewing sports events. The food is good and reasonably priced. There are areas where you can eat seated in soft arm chairs and sofas next to a fieldstone fire place. The inn was a former mill converted to a cozy, New England style inn complete wilth spa, indoor... More

This restaurant has a great atmosphere. We enjoy eating on the bottom floor with the fire in the winter. We were disappointed to see that they made this more of a sitting area. The menu doesn't offer alot of choice and the steaks are not consistently good. The service is typically very slow. It does have a great atmosphere so... More

Unless we have no other choice, we will not be going back.the food was underwhelming and service was slow.the acidic sun dried tomato sauce on the obviously frozen spinach ravioli was inedible.

Not sure which 'Steakhouse Selection' I had, but it was ... GOD-AWFUL. Just to confirm, I had my wife taste it. She'll eat anything. She said it was definitely ... off. As in ... gone by. As in ... inedible. Never mind, that it chewed like leather. On the plus side, I sent it back without incident. The service was... More

My son and his family took me here for dinner while my husband was in the hospital. My hamburger, which I ordered medium rare, was so overdone it would have bounced off the floor. The sweet potato fries were soggy. That wasn't, the worst. What they claimed to be maple syrup was really corn syrup. When I called the manager... More

Loved the mussels in cream garlic and wine sauce! Salads were good, and the burgers were quite good! The old Popsicle stock mill was really cool, and the ambience was nice. I did not like my drinks tho. Ordered a blood orange martini, which I have had other places, this one seemed like it was mostly vodka without a lot... More
