We went to Pittsburg for 4 days of kayaking and hiking. We ate at the Buck Rub every night. The scallops are wonderful - better than what I can get at home near the NH coast! In fact they run out, so get them when they have them. We eat at the Buck Rub when we go to Pittsburg for... More

I'd been here in the past and had decent, if not inspired food, but the last time I went I got a serious case of food poisoning. Up all night after the meal. Sent them a message to let them know and never got any kind of reply. Won't ever eat here again.

Ordered the pizza and it was OK. Very plain. Took a long time to come out and it was burnt slightly on the crust. The waitress offered to get a new one, but it took long enough for that one we did not want to wait again.

We stopped here our last night in town. It was late, close to 10:00pm, but place was still bustling with activity. Small bar, but we were there to eat a late dinner with our two teenagers. Service was warm and punctual. Very good. Food came out hot and tasty. Kids got a pizza(coming from Chicago we were very impressed), and... More

We stopped into the Buck Rub Pub after a long drive to the north country. NH Living suggested the Buck Rub Pub - the restaurant looks like a large log home from the road (US Route 3) . The restaurant was busy with families and a group of ATV riders. The restaurant was clean and the service prompt considering how... More

Been coming to this place for 20 yrs. Improves every year. Great place to drink, have fried foods and talk with the locals. Plenty of TV's.

Great food, great atmosphere, friendly people. We enjoyed dinner at The Buck Rub a couple of nights and got some pizzas another night. Everything was awesome. We'll be back.

loved the rustic décor, great food and service. A bad storm knocked out the power and they were very helpful to make you a meal using the pizza over. That's Yankee ingenuity.
