We brought an Indian couple to Pearl thinking we could satisfy their vegetarian needs easily. We were able to do so from the menu from start to finish. Our young woman guest, who had already asked for and received some extra hot sauce, commented that the ingredients were so fresh she didn't want or need the hot sauce to enhance... More

Pearl Restaurant charges $1.95 extra for on online gift card which came from 'QuickGifts' in Texas. It was not an appropriate GIFT CARD, but an advertising layout for 'QuickGifts'. My personal message was NOT on the card - there was no indication who bought the gift!

Our meals, all four were outstanding and delicious. Excellent presentation. It was a great place to take visitors to get a taste of hometown Peterborough.

None of their meals disappoint. Favorites for us - crazy chicken, nems, vegetable fried rice, ribs that fall off the bone, and their curry rich dish. This place is a small town gem, but would thrive even in NYC, it's that good! For atmosphere it can get a bit loud, but they have recently taken out a few tables which... More

Don't be turned off by the fact that The Pearl is located in a not so pretty strip mall. The restaurant is lovely inside. Everything on the menu is incredible - the fall off the bone ribs, the fried oysters, the ahi tuna, and the scallops are some of my personal favorites.

There are several outstanding aspects to the is little gem tucked away in an ugly strip mall. The first is outstanding service. Our server, Sam, was extremely knowledgeable on the entire menu, including the drinks. When I ordered the Pearl cocktail she asked if I liked ginger. When my friend ordered a chicken dish, she described the heat factor as... More

Never thought I could get this kind of foodie experience in these parts!~ Some of the most unique and beautifully prepared dishes I've ever eaten. We go to NYC often.... and this food is right up the NYC alley.... and better. The chef is a genius who understands the simplicity of flavors and food combinations. I say you might need... More

These dishes are not "authentic ethnic food"; they're unique and original creations only loosely inspired by dishes you might recognize by name or ingredients. But don't let that set you up for disappointment, because nothing about the food was disappointing in any way. I had the "Crazy Chicken", in form similar to Thai basil chicken, but different in nearly every... More

I read the reviews here and I am a little blown away. It is not by any means a 5 star place in my opinion. It is fusion and really make believe fusion. Dishes they refer to as Thai would never succeed in Thailand. In fact, having traveled and eaten extensively in Asia Pacific I have to say that the... More
