While I note that some find this restaurant in an implement barn a problem, we thought it charming. Preserving the architectural elements of the original building and adapting it to dining space (however limited) was a positive aspect of the place. We also appreciated the attempt to use wholesome, seasonal and sustainable foods. So, quality of ingredients was generally good,... More

I had the great pleasure to dine at Ariana's two weeks ago, and I can't stop talking about the meal! My sister and I decided to share a few small dishes; we had the warm spinach salad, which gave me a new appreciation for feta cheese. This feta was smooth and mild, not the normally overly-salty variety. Next, we shared... More

Ariana's has good food and absolutely excellent service! I would have given the restaurant five stars except for the following: the parking lot smells like a feed lot, the place is the size of a matchbox, the floor plan is possibly the worst I've ever seen being made from an old barn and thus having the capacity for about five... I have eaten at Ariana's a few times. Every meal was delicious, with attention to quality ingredients as well as taste. Always a warm welcome. Here is my big peeve: All the times I had eaten there before was in the warmer months when it was light out. When I was there in January of this year, the lighting was... More

You need to arrange in advance for this wines paired with courses meal. We had no idea of what we would enjoy and Chef Martin matched 5 wines with 5 courses. It was fabulous! Each wine and course was a delightful surprise. We eat once or twice a year at this restaurant and we have never been disappointed. But this... More

This place is small so be sure to make a reservation if you are going during the busy season. The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. The chef came around to each table to make sure everyone was having a good meal. Try the warm chocolate cake!

if a small country restaurant with high quality food sounds appealing, you'll likely enjoy ariana's. the food and ambiance reminded us a bit of those (rapidly-disappearing) family restaurants in the french countryside. the wait staff is young, genial and provides competent service. the food for the most part is very good, if not outstanding. portions are generous but not excessive.... We dined here for the first time, and what a treat. Service was very prompt and efficient. There is an extensive and excellent wine list. But it is the food that rules! This may be the best kept secret in the Upper Valley. Our meals were exquisite, and very nicely prepared. It is obvious that chef/owner Martin loves his art,... More

We had experienced chef Martin Murphy,s cooking when he ran the kitchen at Stella's, another excellenet eatery in the area, some years ago. The food was outstanding. Then we heard lat summer that he had opened his own palce in Orford, NH. Ariana's. We finally tried it and it did not disappoint! If anything the food is better. The subtle... More

Ariana's is a chef owned fabulous restaurant. Chef Martin uses local products wherever possible. The menu is varied, creative, well balanced and attractively plated.
