Delicious comfort food and a great atmosphere.

We had an excellent comfort food dinner at May Kelly's tonight. The beef stew was as good as it gets and the portion was huge. The meatloaf dinner was delicious as well. We split a cranberry/ apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce dessert. It was warm and tasty. The service was... read more

You can depend on 1. getting really tasty, Irish, comfort food at May Kelley's whatever you order, and plenty of if, and 2. a great, Friday night's entertainment in the Bar singing along w/ Dennis & Davy. My mixed grill, which included Black & White pudding, i.e., known in Boston as "blood pudding", and a host of typical Irish dinner... More

I am shocked by the amount of cars in their parking lot every night! We found the hostess/owner rude. The food mediocre. And the "irish" music? Yeah, they played country music! And they didn't even have any talent. And it's SO dark in there!

Had the baked haddock special, the fish was excellent and the sides also - risotto with sage and squash with cinnamon, complemented each other perfectly. The bread that arrived before the meal was so good ... we couldn't help but eat the entire loaf. (Oink oink LOL) The menu was a tad overwhelming (so many items) and I found the... More

Visited May Kelly's with my in-laws on a Thursday 'Local's Night' to enjoy their 2 for $28 menu, everything was wonderful! The hostess (Stephanie's mom!) was wonderful and charming - as is the atmosphere - all the four of us could comment on (besides the incredible food) was how cool this place was! On to the food - even the... More

A good wide range of menu choices with very quick service. Very tasty food and all nine guests were entirely satisfied with their choices. Interesting surroundings and very good service. Has a good local reputation (used it based upon recommendation) and it is well deserved.

I make sure to stop here every time I am visiting the White Mountains from Old Orchard Beach. The food and service is excellent each and every time. The owner May is so friendly and welcoming. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

The décor is amazing, we spent much of our time just looking at all the items in the restaurant. The food is very good, the beef stew was delicious as was the shepherd's pie. The service was excellent, we did not feel rushed but the waitress was attentive.

We visited during Xmas week, we had not booked ahead and was a busy Friday night, even so the hostess promised she would seat us as soon as she could so we went into the bar to wait, bar was very busy but the place is so quirky and friendly the wait passed easily. Our dinners were great, very tasty... More
