Nice place, average food.

We were in town on a weekend get away and chose this for dinner one night. The place is inviting and classic New England ambiance but the food was only ok. I had beef my wife had fish and we both came away with the same impression. It's too bad it had good reviews and a good feel but I... read more

We really enjoyed this place. We sat in the comfy upholstered chairs by the fireplace and had a great meal. The drinks are divine too. The menu offers a nice selection. I was disappointed that the dessert choices were sparse, but we were too full for much of anything after the meal. They were very busy and a bit slow,... More

We made reservation for tue 1/27. We were pleased they where open for the blizzard. However once we arrived and were seated, our waiter seemed overwhelmed because he was the only waiter, plus he managed the duties of the host and bartender. It would take him some time to get back to our table for us to order. At some... More

We returned to Stonehurst after having been here last year while in this area. On Thursday nights they have a good deal with 2 entrees for $32. The building is from another era when it must have been beautiful in it's day. But it still has plenty of atsmosphere. We had an early dinner reservation which was good because the... More

My girlfriend and I dined here for my birthday not knowing about the Thursday dinner special. What a great surprise! She had the pork chops and I had the lamb; our portions were huge! And the truffle fries as an appetizer were fantastic. Making a dinner reservation was simple and easy. From start to finish, we were treated like kings.... More

So excited about going to the Ice Bar at Stonehurst but it was so disappointing. The ice bar itself was very pretty but the rest of the attraction left something to be desired, so much potential but poor execution. No entertainment to speak of, overpriced drinks and mediocre and limited hors d'ouvres. Not sure what the $15 ticket really was... More

Had reservations for 4 at 8pm on Christmas Eve with my husband, mother in law and friend. We were sat at 7:50pm in the first room off of the bar which was in need of updating. Tess was our waitress and from the beginning of the evening it was clear she was overwhelmed. She told us that she was working... More

Went here for New Years Eve dinner and was very disappointed. The waiter was the worst! He was actually a disaster. From the get go he was rude, unhelpful and continuously complained about his job. At one point he actually put his hand in front of my friend's face to stop him from talking. We were blown away! We did... More

Welcoming manager Heidi, friendly bartender Kerry, and a nice roaring fire make for a memorable experience. Food is very good. The missus had the espresso crusted sirloin. So good, in fact, that I wasn't offered a bite and she ate the whole thing. Which is VERY unusual for her to finish a meal. I had the Veal Oscar...a house favorite...good... More

Stayed at the manor for New Years and had some fantastic meals for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfasts selection was varied and everything we had was quite good. Coffee was plentiful and the tea selection was some of the best we have seen, a treat each morning. New Years was a fixed menu with a few choice selection, our party... More
