We have been going to this cute restaurant during our annual vacation for many years now, and never miss a year. We usually get our favorite dishes, which we recommend highly - Lobster Pie and Shrimp Parmigiano. The lobster is so sweet ,and the cheese & sauce on the shrimp (and the shrimp themselves) are to die for. Do not... More

This place is a little out of the way. The Fried Shrimp plate was very good. Pricing is on the high side. The family also had Fried Clams. They were very good. Cooked just right.

We had originally tried this restaurant on a Tuesday and found it closed. However, we went during a torrential rainstorm and even though we arrived about 5;45pm we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. We were surprised to find empty tables when we walked into the dining room and didn't understand why the wait time. Our waitress... More

don't get caught in this "trap". service was not that great and the food was so-so. lobster in lobster pie was chewy, small pieces and not tasty at all. the clam chowder was the best part of the meal but not worth stopping here. plenty of other restaurants in the area to choose from.

This was a recommendation from a local. The service was not necessarily upscale but friendly and the food was excellent. We had the lobster tail and a clam chowder. Very well prepared and reasonable although it was in season so not sure about other months. Would definitely return.

Ok so it’s a seafood place, so no surprise that their Italian food is terrible. The meatballs are the worst tasting meatballs I have ever had. No one got sick, but boy was the taste horrible. The lobster was the cheap soft shell kind, and it was overpriced as expected. The drawn butter wasn’t great either. I wish it was... More

They have a great early bird/ lunch special. A lobster roll and a cup of chowder for $11.99. Big pieces of lobster and thick chowder with lots of clams. Great deal.

If you LOVE Lobster, then this is the place to come. My husband and I were in Bretton Woods in June and I wanted lobster. I did a Google search and found the Lobster Trap. We had the 2 one-pound lobsters and split a cup of clam chowder. Both were excellent. The waitress was friendly and told us that the... More

We went here and the food was really good. The baked haddock was a large piece and was delicious. I couldn't finish mine. The lobster pie was very disappointing though. It wasn't very big for the price and the man who ordered it was still hungry. He ate the rest of my haddock. They ran out of mussels and substitutes... More

Stopped in for lunch in July 2014. Being from the seafood city of New Bedford, buying seafood in New Hampshire just doesn't seem right. The Lobster Trap corrected us quickly with a delicious bowl of clam chowder followed by tasty lobster rolls !
