Fun place, but busy

Had a good meal and better beer in this busy place. Craft beer was really good, and obviously popular as about a dozen growlers were filled while we had lunch at the bar. Not sure if they take reservations, but you may want to call ahead on weekends.

We had a blast, good food and beer, great service even if the place was crowded. The natcho are super hudge for the price. We recommend it!

We stopped here after a day on the trails and as usual the place was hopping. Thankfully we found seats at the bar. The beer was good as usual. Service was ok and the food was average. For instance I had the brisket sandwich. It was good but there wasn't alot of meat or coleslaw on it. Don't get me... More

My boyfriend and I had dinner here on Saturday 2/21/15 and it wasn't a great experience. We had an hour wait, which wasn't the issue. When we sat down the table was still greasy feeling. Our waitress had zero personality. We ordered an appetizer, salads and entrees and I specifically asked to have our salads after the appetizer but before... More

Very active restaurant. Very busy but exciting, with craft beer and barbecue. I tried the 7 beer sampler which was a good deal and the tasty combo sampler. All was good. Not the best barbecue I ever had but it was still tasty and a great deal and filling. Lots of very good servers that took care of us.

We tried Moat Mountain Smokehouse after reading really good reviews. We shared a pastrami sandwich and fries which were very tasty. We also had a local beer which was good. The service was efficient and friendly. The only complaint I have is that while seated in the enclosed porch, the large wooden door kept making an annoying noise when being used,... More

We went to The Moat in the middle of a snowstorm after spending three hours on snowmobiles in sub zero weather. By that point we were hungry and thirsty. Moat fixed that issue. The beer was good. I had a few but the Iron Mike Pale was my best. My girlfriend had a couple of cucumber cocktails which she liked.... More

Went for lunch and had amazing pulled pork chili and sandwich. The wife had the barbecue salmon entree; excellent as well. The house porter was dark and not too strong. Professional service, creative porch decor with the n. Conway vibe of ski bum chic. Great food, great fun.

You need to stop by Moat Mountain if you are in North Conway. The Smokehouse has a great feel and the dinner is outstanding. They brew their own beer and you can get a Flight to try different kinds for a great value. Great place for dinner and to enjoy a good, local beer!

In fairness, we went to the "Moat" on a summer night on a weekend - enough said. It was crazy to the point of claustrophobic but we hung on till we got a table upstairs. Its bar food but reasonably priced and clearly it's all about the beer. I'm a wine drinker but my family of beer fans thought it... More
