Loved it

Cute little cafe in downtown N. Conway. Visited on a Thursday and sat upstairs on the veranda for breakfast. The pancakes and omelettes were awesome. Locally roasted coffee was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and waitstaff at this tiny eatery. The standard eggs, potatoes, sausage, and toast breakfast was a little pricey (compared to the other breakfast diners I ate at during this trip), but well done and made for a good start for the day.

Think this is now the best breakfast joint in North Conway... Excellent selection and extremely good food. Service was very good, even if food didn't come out very quickly. In the end, the food was so good that the wait wasn't a problem. Game sausage (venison for me, boar for the wife) was nothing short of excellent. Speculation bread of... More

We went to North Conway for a few hours on a beautiful day in late August. When we decided to get lunch we wanted to eat outside as it was too nice to be indoors. We looked around then looked up and saw a cute little deck on the second story with outside seating so we headed up. It is... More

We didn't know what to expect when we stopped a local to ask for the best breakfast in town, and we were so surprised! It was delish! 3 Little girls and my husband and I, and not one of us were disappointed. The staff was on it, and our waitress was amazing. You need to go up the stairs to... More

This has got to be my favorite brunch restaurant in the entire northeast United States! The cafe itself is quite small, but the wait for a table--especially one on the small deck overlooking the Route 16/302 and the Conway Scenic Railway--will definitely be worth it. The meals may sound simple in their menu descriptions, but it's easy to taste that... More

Can only rate the service since no one seemed to want to wait on us. This is a funky mom and pop type of place. Looked cute for lunch. Waited and waited to give our order. Only three couples (us being one couple) were in there. The other couple that came in at the same time as us had their... More

Great food reasonably priced. The draw for me is the inclusion of game menu items. You have choices ranging from venison to duck and everything in between.

We stumbled upon The Stairway Cafe for brunch one morning while waiting for our railroad tour to begin. (It's just across the highway) It is a quaint little space that ushers you straight up the stairs for a meal that might as well have been served at grandma's kitchen table...it has that feel. I gave this place four stars instead... More

So good that we decided to visit two days in a row! Food is local and expertly prepared! Omelets exploded with fresh veggies and flavor! Hash is homemade, as well as the absolutely perfect coffee cake muffin. Our server, who also works in the kitchen, had great recommendations and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed watching the morning travelers... More
