Good Food, Laid Back Restaurant

Went to the Flying Goose on the evening of Jan 15, 2016 in the freezing, snowy weather. We were met by a very friendly hostess and seated immediately. The food is quite good. We started with an appetizer of fried Brussel sprouts cooked with bacon and it was delicious. We had a variety of foods... read more

This is not the culinary experience of the year/decade however the food is good and the prices are reasonable. The brews on tap are local or brewed in house at this brew pub. It is welcoming to all however has a strong local clientele...not a bad thing. Sit in the pub if you want to have fun and if you... More

I ordered the beefalo burger on a gluten free roll (cost extra) and fries. The burger and fries were great! The atmosphere was good for families and the wait staff was very accommodating.

Need a rating between "average" and "very good." My husband & I decided to try this restaurant on a Monday. We arrived around 5:40 and it was quite busy. The bar area was about full and there were 3 other parties in the small dining area, where we were seated. Despite being adjacent to the bar, it was not loud... More

We had driven by the restaurant earlier in the day and saw the beautiful views of Mt. Kearsarge, and decided to come back for dinner. The foyer and dining room had a funky smell, the floor was a mess, and the restaurant was SO noisy with several school-aged kids running around. The drinks and apps were priced reasonably, but the... Had a 7 O'clock reservation and the table was ready as expected. Waitress came over immediately asked how we were, very friendly got us some ice water as well and took drink orders, when she returned we put in for food. Menu had everything from Awesome burgers, to seafood, to pasta, to some nice apps! cant wait to return!

Haven't had a beer I didn't enjoy. Love the view. Always have the specials when I visit the pub but I can say the food was good and I love the farm fresh menu. It's my favorite solar powered brew pub that's for sure!

A little slow for service, but the dining room views of Mt Kearsarge made the wait ok. I ordered a burger, grass fed beef, blandest burger I've had in a while. Absolutely no flavor..The onion rings that came with it were good. My wife ordered a pasta dish, and she thought it was ok. But it came with no roll... More

We were passing by, saw all the solar panels and had to turn around and try it. Glad we did, it was awesome! The craft beers were so good and I love the paddle of beer so we can try many of the great selections. The apps we choose were great too - we had broccoli potato skins and a... More
