Good for a group of 10

Recent family dinner put 10 of us at this restaurant. Staff handled our large group well. Variety of foods on the menu, but not much for vegetarians. Carnivores will like this place. Beer produced on site with hops grown in the back yard. $30 pp for dinner, drinks and tip. Nice evening.

The beer here was really good. I sat at the bar. The bartender wasn't super friendly and he didn't really want to discuss the beers, but I still enjoyed trying a few. The food is pretty typical bar fare.

When my friends suggested the FG before a show at the New London Barn Playhouse, my brain said "Okay, good beer...let's give it a try". Our friends arrived ahead of us (because my wife forgot our theatre tickets) and had ordered drinks an appetizers. The spring rolls were good, and the peanut ginger dipping sauce was very good, tangy with... More

I've been here multiple times, and the food was always great! however, the service is lacking.. Upon walking in, no one smiles, no one talks to you, its very dry. OK fair enough.. But the waiter/waitresses are the same way.. The food is absolutely great, but if the service improved, this restaurant would truly be the best in the region!

We had actually been once before, really liked it, vowed to come again soon, and then a year went by....but now that we've been again, and really liked it again, we will this time keep the promise to ourselves to come back again - soon! SO many choices it was hard to narrow it down, great specials, very reasonable prices,... More

This place is always hopping! Large menu and great beer selection - the beer is made on site. Servers are pleasant. Food is served quickly even when the restaurant is overflowing! Large bar, seating in bar area, seating in a screened in porch area and a white tablecloth dining room.

Regrettably, the Flying Goose is expanding. This is usually the sign of a successful establishment which the place surely is...it's a captive market (small town next to a small wealthy college) but, the reason is not because of its food or service both are astoundingly inferior. As a resident of new London I have chosen to avoid this place on... More

The food was delicious, the homemade craft beer was awesome (try the wildflower honey ale!), the staff was very friendly, and the views of the mountains were absolutely amazing! The only thing that is stopping me from rating excellent is the price, The Flying Goose is worth the money, but it is definitely not your average "I don't feel like... More
