Outstanding Service !!!

I had dinner at the Salt last weekend. Our servers name was Chantell -Tia. I have dined all over the country and Chantell was by far one of the most professional, friendly and overall outstanding service I have ever had. She was both warm, upbeat and down to earth. I actually asked her if she... read more

During our recent stay at the Wentworth by the Sea, my husband and I had a dinner and two breakfasts at the hotel’s restaurant, Salt Kitchen. The dining room is a lovely spot, with large windows, detailed wooden moldings, and a beautiful fireplace. The domed ceiling carried conversations from clear across the room right to our table, but somehow the... More

We are locals and love the ambiance. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, Salt is worth trying, as are many spots in downtown Portsmouth. We prefer to go to Salt when we want a nice spot and a more casual lighter bite to eat in the bar sitting area. We find the value to be very good... More

We had trouble getting a reservation and had to settle for an early lunch to get a reservation. When we got there they only had a breakfast buffet and were not serving menu items off either their breakfast or lunch menus. We were given the option to wait til they were ready but had other plans afterwards. Do not go... More

A group of 8 of us had an incredible dinner! Sean O'Brien was our server and he helped make the night fantastic. He was attentive without being intrusive and gave wonderful recommendations for those of us that were trying to decide what to order. He knew the menu inside and out! The atmosphere was great, the wine delicious, the appetizers,... More

My wife and I have been talking about going here for years. As a kid growing up in the area this was an abandoned monstrosity, how it never burned down still amazes me. But I digress. We were a few minutes early for our 5 o'clock reservations, so we did two cocktails in the lounge. Prompt courteous service and very... More

This restaurant has a very pretty setting. Dinner is fair, at best. The wine list is average and somewhat expensive. I would not bother with dinner here again. We had lobster fritters which were plainly awful. Their baked oysters were fair at best. The filling totally overpowered the oysters. The Carpaccio was good, but an extremely small portion. Nothing stood... More

My husband and I celebrated my birthday at the Wentworth. I had visited here in the "80s when the place was in shambles. The renovations are amazing. We had an amazing view of the harbor from our room. The whole experience was nostalgic yet new. My family celebrated with dinner at Salt. Unique and delicious. My husband and I had... More

First time there after hearing so many great things. We could not have been more impressed. The food was great and the cocktails were equally impressive. The staff was on top of making sure we had everything we needed, considering it was her 2nd day on the job. She didn't miss anything, great job!!!!!!! We enjoyed seats at the Chef's... More
