Best Italian Outside North End!

We go here several times per year. My husband is Italian and is picky about his food. The quality is always consistent. The service is great. We love the veal saltimbocca and gnocchi with peas and prosciutto. It never disappoints.

Every time I go back to Cucina Toscana I want to try something different but always come back to the veal and eggplant parm. It just melts in your mouth and with just the right amount of sauce it's hard not to order it every time. Started off with an order of calamari which was cooked to perfection, crisp not... More

We have enjoyed dinner at Cucina Toscana two times and both times the food was excellent. Our choice in dishes were basic -- chicken and broccoli/chicken parmigiana -- but the food was fresh and tasty. Personally I do not like anything swimming in a sauce and I find that CT is good in this regard. They do not look to... More

It's not like the food I had in Italy--the sauces are thicker and there's a lot more cheese--but it's still filling and tasty. It's a good place to take someone, as there's enough room between tables to create some privacy for conversation. The servings are large. Parking can be a problem due to the small number of spots. If it... More

The food is excellent but takes forever to get out of there. Their kitchen staff is way too slow. I'm sure they're working very hard, but they need more kitchen staff. We can always count on 2 hours from the time we sit down until we leave. Ridiculous! We only put ourselves through this because the food is good

When I was looking for dinner near my B&B in Hollis, I saw the Yelp reviews and was intrigued by the high ratings for this non-descript looking restaurant in a strip mall. Well, we found the food and the service to be first rate and the prices are quite reasonable. The Caesar salad was a bit overdressed, missing anchovy and... More

I've been to CT a few times in the last 6 months and have loved the experiences. I've been both on date nights and out with my parents. I love the appetizers especially the fried mozzarella and escargot... And table side Caesar salad. The drinks are wonderful, the French martini is my husband and I's favorite. The dinner menu is... If you like bread crumbs.... This is your place. Clams casino is a joke! Stuffed shrimp.....run!! I'm not sure why this restaurant has such high reviews because it certainly does not live up to previous reviews!

Decided to come here with my mother for happy hour. Although did not order happy hour food or drinks. I had a glass of white Italian wine while my mom had beer then wine. We shared clams casino. Was not impressed at all. WAY to heavy on the Ritz Crackers. For dinner I had Shrimp Al Forno. Shrimp stuffed which... More
